They could produce a new Hitman video every day and I would watch it. It is the infinite content engine.

Jason's one of my favorite guys on the site. Really glad to have more people with different taste in games. Cool list.

@ntm: Since playing the beta of this game, I've started listening to the Hardcore History Podcast on the subject, began binging the Great War channel on YouTube, started reading All Quiet On the Western Front, bought Valient Hearts, borrowed library books, watched movies on the subject...

I realized I knew almost nothing about the war. We spent maybe one day of school talking about it and that was that. I've always been fascinated by the "WWI atheistic", trenches, gas masks and horses etc. But it was playing that beta that made me want to educate myself. To the point now that my kids are asking me why I'm so obsessed with it. Indy Neidell of The Great War channel has said that subscriptions saw a spike after BF1's various trailers so it seems to be not just me.

I know Battlefield isn't going to give me a picture perfect recreation of history, and I don't need it to. It's nice enough to be in these locations with these weapons wearing these uniforms.

I love this game and I love this video series. The game is messy and janky and weird. And yet it's unlike everything else before or since. Some people will think that's for a reason, whatever. Keep up the good work lads (though since its all recorded I guess the work is done)

Great read, Alex. It seems like the kind of game I'd enjoy.

I guess if this video is to become the place to express your opinion on Dan Ryckert, I'll share mine.

I like Dan. He's an entertaining, sincere guy. If I had a problem with him it would be he's too invested in playing a character. I come to this site 100% because of the personalities involved, and I wish he'd play things more naturally sometimes.

Anyway. Great video

@mrcraggle: The only Austin stuff I really got was during GOTY stuff. He did convince me to go right out and buy Invisible Inc though. Great game too.

It may sound silly or whatever but yeah, the vibe was just different. Nothing against anyone at all.

@Y2Ken: Yeah I think I will. I'm sure I've missed some great stuff.

I haven't really watched/listened to any GBeast stuff since it started. Just didn't feel right to me. Dont get me wrong, I like everyone involved, I just never get over the idea that it wasn't "real Giant bomb". It took this video to remind me how damn much I love Vinny Caravella. There's no exaggeration when I say Dan's play through was the funniest thing I've seen in a LONG time. The can't breathe, tears in my eyes kind of laughter. The Shiek Shit will go down as some of the best of giant bomb ever.

Great video.
