"Detective Cole Phelps, badge 247"

"What can i help you with, detective?"

"Any messages?"

"Yes, Coroner Carruthers has asked you to come down to the morgue to positively identify the Dukie Nukem gentleman you murdered on sales charts."

"Thank you, ma'am"

@Olivawsaid:

Articles like this always make me sad, because when I'm finished reading them I scroll down too far and see the comments and realize that most Giant Bomb users, and the vast majority of people playing video games, are either unable or unwilling to have this discussion.

Hell, most of them are probably unaware that there is a discussion to be had. And that's almost as depressing as the end of this nongame/game/thing.

My thoughts exactly. I was honestly glad i came to this article today and played the game (with no idea of what the theme was). Now I kind of regret coming down here. Still, i hope people who are curious ask themselves why things happen beyond just trying to get to the credits in a game. I wish i could go back to a year ago when the GB forums were lit up with chatter about the ending of Red Dead Redemption. Not just to say, "wow, cool ending. Unexpected.", but to ask themselves exactly why what happened had to happen. The threads went beyond discussing the gameplay and cougar ninjas. People wanted to know the meaning of Marston's journey and his ultimate "redemption". The same goes for a lot of games (Portal 2, Half-Lives, Bioshock, etc.)

can i send them money and then just download it illegally? That honestly sounds like a better idea than going into the pit of iTunes.

@Aus_azn: Oh nice, I never even knew of the server selection. The Phoenix servers are giving me really good speeds even on my wireless network across my house.

My purchases so far: Sniper Ghost Warrior (its ok), STALKER: Call of Pripyat at the "loyalty" price, Frontlines Fuels of War (mistake!), and Puzzle Agent.

I can certainly say I'm the biggest gamer in my office as well. There's a few other people who also play games but they only go as far as playing the latest sports game or COD game (which is basically an annual sports game). And of course, no one i know plays PC games.

I keep my consoles horizontal just because I'm scared of bricking any more of them. If you've ever fixed your xbox from the RROD then you know what I'm talking about. Those little sticky pads coming loose, eh? It has served me well so far...
