So Nintendo/Platinum essentially offered her the base rate for a video game VO. Is that a lowball? I'm not sure. Is that an offensively low insult? Probably not.

Chris Pratt was great in the LEGO Movie, so I know he's got chops. Two lines is not enough to judge an entire performance.

Mario being a regular guy with a Brooklyn accent works way better in a movie than a weird Mushroomian with the voice of an Italian clown.
