loved it from beginning to end! also, it's much more resident evil than outlast, which i love, but was afraid re7 was basing itself off of. also, this is the first...1st person re game ever. it succeeds on a number of different levels. resident evil, and doom are back baby.

im sorry but im in the camp of the whole "well my animal doesnt listen to me so its realistic" to be a load of bs. how is that argument valid in any way. look i get that you love the game to set those issues aside but it has horribly frustrating moments and overall feels sluggish to me. a subjective opinion is i like it because he behaves as a untrained animal does but the objectivity is that he just straight up doesnt do what hes supposed to do because of shit ai. use the whole untrained animal argument if it makes u feel better but it sounds very silly.

and also, games are about having fun. however, people love no mans sky because its a barren wasteland, and love trico because hes like a real untrained animal. well guess what, i wanna have fun, i dont necessarily need realism in my games. i spend enough time with my own untrained shitty dog (who i love) to not want that in a video game and the universe itself will never be fully traversed so i dont need a to scale replica of it in a game, thanks much!

lol. so u want us to make u feel better about your "wasted" 20 bucks...waaaa.

other than that, this thread is useless. hey guess what? some people like some games, and some dont. you are in the minority. i have spoken to many people who loved it rather than those who didnt. and ive stealth'd the game every time ive played it in every scenario i could, and loved it.

sorry you didnt.**

** (mods lock the thread oh god i hate these threads**

@monkeyking1969: man, i LOVE malek. Mr. Robot is one of the best shows out there, and like steve buscemi, he has a weird face that lends itself very well to acting. I see his weird face as a unique thing that draws you into the characters he plays. he is awesome.

it would make sense that the older console versions of the game weren't up to snuff, and that an outdated controller model type didn't work as well. i can understand the word of caution, however that just seems like common sense to me.

i can agree with you, like 80 percent. i felt as though there were 2 hub areas and your out of the 2nd one (golem city) pretty fast. i was waiting to go to the safe haven for augs, whatever it was called, or even london for a longer period of time. i wanted more locations, and more side missions. inn the end i felt like the lack of content came from there being not that many areas to explore.

@49th: yeah, anyone who had an ounce or skepticism about the game pre release got fucking hammered by thee hype train. its unbelievable now in retrospect, kind of tells you a bit about how blind people were because of their expectations.

#1. personally abzu was infinitely better than nms to me because it was aware of its limitations and instead of stretching it paper thin, it condensed it into a 2-3 hour experience. to me nms is a 30 hour abzu or journey, which i wouldnt like at all.

#2. its very fair of you to judge a game based solely on what it does and not what it was marketed as. i was willing to put aside all my expectations for the game when playing it, and i found that it did enhance the experience. however, as you said, it had its limits. good for you for getting 20 "phenomenal" hours out of it, but i was burnt out by hour 12. and for 60 bucks, a 12 hour game should be better than that. i understand that normally that would be subjective, however no mans sky is a unique case because of the hype based on the marketing. and if the industry standard is what we make of it, then what a game is and will be when sold to the public should be more transparent. that is a fault of the developers, no matter how you slice it.
