  • I know, it's kind of the obvious choice. Naughty Dog's masterpiece, the follow-up to 2007's Uncharted (which was just OK) exceeds my expectations in every way possible - it is beautiful, it has a great storyline (for a videogame), amazing gameplay that has variety and some dazzling set-piece moments. If you like videogames, chances are you will love Uncharted 2 just as much as I did.

  • Ezio's story is much bigger, better and more beautiful than Altair's. There's a lot more stuff to do even after you complete the game, traversing the huge new cities is still very fun, and the new weapons (and there's many of them) are all very lethal and satisfying at the same time. As it is a sandbox experience, you can play it any way you want, be the stealthy guy or just run around like a crazy person. No more repetition, way more entertainment value.

  • Sure, everyone's in it for the multiplayer, which still is the best on the Xbox 360, with all the new killstreak rewards, maps and refinements they have made, it couldn't have been better. Then there's also Spec-ops, which is a nice bonus and fun to play with another dude. The campaign was kind of a letdown this year, it was way too over the top. If it hadn't been for that, Modern Warfare 2 might have ranked up higher on my list, but it is as it is.

  • May/June was all about these superhero themed games. First, there was Bionic Commando, then there was inFamous, and lastly there was Prototype. At first I thought that these games would be similar in quality, but I was wrong. Both Bionic Commando and Prototype didn't come close to the awesomeness of inFamous. It has a great morale system, a good storyline, and zapping people has never been so much fun. You can also traverse rooftops, fly around and kill some more people, and make some interesting choices throughout the game. The city is nicely structured, and the game overall is highly reccomendable.

  • What I awaited was merely a full-priced add-on to Left 4 Dead. What I got was a much improved Left 4 Dead. With five new campaigns, new and awesome charecters, the melee weapons, and the highly addicting and possibly my favorite game mode yet - Scavenge Mode. If you like shooting zombies in the face like I do, then Left 4 Dead 2 is for you.

  • Finally, a comic book game done right. Batman: Arkham Asylum has everything going for it - it's a good brawler, it has smart puzzles and great steath elements, the voice acting is some of the best this year. I also really liked the art-style of Arkham Asylum, it looks a lot more like The Dark Night and Batman: Begins than the comic books. It's not the lengthiest game ever made, but there is a challenge mode to play after you're finished with the storyline. Rocksteady, we await a sequel!

  • Beautifully designed levels, and very fun metroid-style gameplay. It might not look that amazing at first, but there's some good storyline elements to it and even though the controls felt a bit clunky to me at first, I got used to them and everything after was just fantastic. Best XBL arcade game of the year.

  • It has that cel-shaded look to it, and you shoot people in the face most of the time, so what else do you need? Although there's no real ''storyline'' to Borderlands, it's a great RPG shooter to play in co-op. It's a very long game, so if you want value for money - Borderlands is the way to go. It also has some great leveling-up mechanics and bazzilions of guns!

  • The box art of this game is priceless, and tells you all you need to know about it. It's a very addictive strategy/city building/being a communist experience, and since I do have some nostalgia for the first Tropico, and this is pretty much that game just with new, great looking graphics. It has the feel and vibe of the series, and for that it deserves the ninth place on my list. Oh, and the music!

  • It's a great value for money, and if you haven't stepped into Liberty City just yet, and you own an Xbox 360 - go for it. Two great new protagonists, and tons of new stuff to do. There's about 15 hours of gameplay in this collection, and even though the storyline in The Lost and Damned was much better than in Gay Tony, I liked the second DLC add-on a little better because of the crazy stuff you could do.
