I thought it was worth it. It was great to finally see the Batarians after reading about them in the first book. It was nice change of pace from finding minerals and corpses that's for sure.
It should there still isn't a patch out yet. Just check Xbox360Achievements.org for the guide I was able to do it during my Insanity run.
