After everybody is back from PAX East, they should get Danny back in the studio to help them quick look the very European sport of baseball, because they haven't done MLB 16: The Show, or the new RBI Baseball yet.
@coolarman: I feel like any kind of upgrade price that current users that would get mad will feel is reasonable (I feel like I've seen $100 - $200 thrown around a lot since this news started hitting) is probably lower than what it will cost Sony to make these things, and I don't see Sony being in a position to sell a bunch of these things at a loss just to make people happy.
I can't really put my finger on why, but I'm really not a fan of this.
There's just something about this that makes me really hesitant to believe that existing users aren't going to end up getting a degraded experience as more time passes, especially given that games are already not being greatly optimized for the current machines in many cases.
It makes no sense to me why Dan is so bothered by crowd chants. They pay just as much money as he does to attend and are completely allowed to chant whatever they want. I don't care if they are "derailing" chants, "offensive" chants, or whatever.
Sure they can, but it doesn't mean that everybody else has to like that they're doing it.
I went to the RAW after Wrestlemania next year, and the crowd was so awful I wanted to walk out of the show (they touched on what happened at that particular show a bit during the podcast).
It was definitely bad enough that when starting to tentatively discuss a trip to Orlando for Mania next year, I've already said that we can leave Monday morning rather than staying for RAW.
Bottom line: They're allowed to chant what they want, and I'm allowed to hate that they do it.
Also did they ever fix the patch fees that caused issues last gen for developers who either have tight publishers or are self-funded and so that fixed fee was rather high? That would also make cross-console online less desirable for a developer having to support it (and potentially pay to patch any issues that arise).
They eliminated patch fees at the beginning of this generation when they started their ID@Xbox push.
