Even quicker yet! About ten hours on this one, and I reckon it'll please those of you who thought my two-month effort lacked the color of my two-year effort. It's been a while since I did something colorful, abstract, and original (re: Tree on Hill, 2009) ------>

so I decided to go for it again since I enjoy it the most.

Whereas Tree on Hill took an entire summer, this took a small collection of snow days and sick days. Let me know what you think.

I painted this thing from each edge, so I wasn't set on how best to view it. I think it looks alright no matter which way you flip it, and any time that's the case, a mosaic is usually effective. Here's that:

I like the detail in it. Makes the piece lively and organic. Good stuff.

The bottom image looks like something from a Tool album cover. Which I mean as a compliment, by the way!

I like it mirrored on itself like you did in the last picture. I'd totally buy that.

It's abstract.

I respect anyone who can paint something that requires a commitment. I'm ADHD and I'd probably give up after the second or third day.

I'm 22 and I still have trouble staying inside the lines of my nephew's coloring book :P

Joking aside, being an artist as well I respect this art style because of the creativity you need for it. You probably don't know what the hell you're drawing but use your creativity to guide you.

Looks like an acid trip.

Very nice job, it looks really nice. The symmetry is basically perfect, the colors are great, good composition, thumbs up.

If you allow me a comment, from one artist to another, unless it's some sort of artistic choice (which it shouldn't really be), try and make your pencil lines lighter, they are easily visible when viewed from up close, especially in areas where the colors are lighter.

Edit: Oh I just noticed, the last pictures isn't the actual piece right?

Pretty... I'd buy that and hang it on my wall, all of them.

So what's next? Two days painting a canvas? It would fit with the theme after all :P

There is something about the tree on hill abstract that is very calming. You are a very good artist.
