Techno Flavored Soda: The 6th Can

Actually caught Papa Vinny's Pizza party live last night from start to finish. We normally catch the live shows right as they go off, so it was a treat to be able to be part of the live stream from when it started for once.

I was also making mini pizza's from scratch as it started, so we technically joined in with the pizza party. Though, the pizza they were eating looked yummyier. Sure less healthy, but man did it look good!

It made me think just how hard it is to find good cheap pizza here in Savannah. I'm sure there must be some little off the beaten path place that we haven't tried yet with AMAZING pizza for cheap but...until I find it no dice.

Living in Savannah is crazy honestly. I've lived in very few places in my life, but the experiences I do have pretty much all red flag my mind that the city when built didn't take cars into account. At all.

The streets of the old part of town are just big enough for a horse and carriage, lined on both sides with ether palm trees or weeping willows (or some sort of hanging try any way). For someone like me who has a phobia of being/driving a car it's a....claustrophobic experience.

Though it was worth it all to eat Chipotle again without having to fly back out to San Deigo.

Course Mitsuwa Marketplace and In and Out burger would totally be worth that flight again hahaha.

Anywho! All in all though it was a fun night yesterday. Praying that Vinny and his family have a safe trip, and that the move doesn't stress them out to much. Looking forward to see how Giant Bomb East represents in the future...since being part of the east coast I guess we would be part of.

You know what would be fun? A GB South East. Southern gamers are a breed all their own (I should know since I am one.).

Anywho! Till next time!

Techno Flavored Soda: The 5th Can

This year is already starting to fly by for me. Seems to be the norm I've noticed the older that I get.

It's been great so far though.

I've given up caffeine, and both my husband and I are both cutting back on just about everything. It's amazing how much better I feel both physically and emotionally since doing so. I'm less depressed since quitting the caffeine, and I feel like my mind is much clearer.

If you ever try to do that though I would recommend not doing it like I did; (which wasn't on purpose) going cold turkey.

I had withdrawals like you wouldn't believe. Emotional, physical...it seriously sucked. Once I made it through it though was when I decided that ditching the caffeine was a great thing. If something like that could cause such horrible effects on me when I stopped ingesting it, it could not be good for me to continue taking it.

I'll still drink a sprite or fanta every once in a while. And yeah, I really do miss the taste of diet coke and mountain dew. But I'll live. =)

In the game department I've recently had the pleasure of being gifted Kirby: Triple Deluxe. The hubby came home one day from running a errand for me (I was having a crappy day. Just finished cleaning the whole house, and cooking a 5lb tube of hamburger meat into taco beef in a pan that was WAY to small for the tube because we had company coming over. Then they canceled because they were stuck in a meeting. I was a bit upset haha.) and when I gave him a hug I found something being tapped on my head. When I looked up I all saw was him holding a copy of the game. Like I've said before, I have the best hubby ever! <3

I'm about half way through the main story line (or so I think I am) and honestly I'm enjoying the heck out of it. The first few 'worlds' are very fun, but not too challenging. This is not a complaint as I've enjoyed every second of it, and let's be honest...that's just how Kirby games tend to be. However, if your OCD like me and have to collect every single sun stone/keychain from each level before moving on it can get a bit frustrating at points. Nothing bad though, just don't expect every situation to be super easy. And in all honestly, I like that.

It feels like for those who just wanna breeze through the story they can with relative ease, but for those of us who like a challenge once a in while and looove collecting things they up some of the difficulty.

I'm not talking Dark souls difficulty. But more than most Kirby games. Then again maybe I just suck at platformers.

I've also been playing Diablo 3 a bit. Don't have the expansion yet though. All in all it's a great game, specially if you like collecting color coded rarity loot. Having a legendary drop is such a rush!

But yeah I'mma close this lil can of Techno Flavored Soda now. It's lunch time and I've got a can of soup with my name on it. Peace!

Techno Flavored Soda: The 4th Can

It has been some time since I updated this blog...and man has time just flown by.

Recently I've been playing Rune Factory 4 for the 3DS...and it is so freaking hard for me to stop playing it. I know in the past month I've clocked in over 300 minutes of game time. Today was the first time I've taken the game out of my system since I got the thing back in early January. Already beaten the full game, I just can't seem to stop farming haha.

I also picked up the eshop version of Harvest Moon: A Tale of two towns over the holiday break this past year. It seems to have fixed most of the issues with the cartridge version of the 3DS edition of the game...but man the whole 'pet the farm animal' mini game is so freaking annoying. What if I was trying to just talk to the critter? But nooo it stops you and forces you into a very lame mini game of petting the animal on the head.

Other than that I really like the game. Haven't beat it yet, but I am on year two in the game.

As for none gaming news, we moved since last time I posted. My husbands job required him to move across the state so...that's just what we did.

Who ever thought it was a good idea to have an apartment with 3 floors and no elevator is an evil evil person. The climbing the stairs to go out of the apartment is ok. Climbing the stairs carrying a giant couch and kitchen table...not so much.

I suppose that is all for now. Till next time!

Techno Flavored Soda: 3rd Can

It has been some time since my last entry, and a lot has happened in both the game world and my own life. My husband recently recieved a promotion which will have us relocating to the other side of the state in less than a month. I've been packing for the most part, and haven't had much time to keep up with recent news. The Black Rock Shooter game was pushed back many months as I'm sure most of you know (who have been following the story anyway) but they still are stressing it will be coming state side. It will how ever be downloadable only, with no disc version for the English version.

Better late than never with that. Also, there is a new Vocaloid (well not the Crypton ones) music game on the market other than Project Diva f. Megpoid the music came out for the PSP while I've been busy. I have yet to have a chance to import it and try it for myself so I can't give a full review of it at this moment.

From what I've seen it seems to play very similarly to the Project Diva games. It also has the ability to dress Megpoid up with different pre-made outfits like the Project Diva games as well. I hope a 'best price' edition will be released of it, as I really don't want to pay 60 bucks to import a game that I know very little about.

In the awesome news department though Nintendo has brought back two of my favorite games of all times to the Nintendo E shop. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. I spent countless hours with these games back in my youth and I'm very excited to have another chance to play them again. And 10 bucks for both? Honestly you can't beat that. I shall be snagging my copies this weekend once I get a chance to get another points card.

I refuse to actually use a debit/credit card on any game related sites since that whole hacking mess with Sony. Sure Sony tried to set things right (and we didn't actually loose any money from it) but I will not be taking any more chances. Hurray for prepaid cards!

Well that is all for now. Till next time!

Techno Flavored Soda: Second Can

Time seems to fly by much faster when your not paying attention to it. Back in school I remember the days seeming never ending. Now that I'm an adult with my own work and life to live I never seem to have enough of it with the ones I love. This past Tuesday I lost a long time member of my family, our chow chow Kira (or as I call her, Keyboo) to what the vet said was most likely a rattle snake that attacked her and hit a main artery.  I look back at her short 13 year life and find myself wishing that I had spent much more time with her. I know that the past is the past and it can't be changed but sometimes I wish I could change it. Now granted I know not everyone treats their pets like family members so I' m not asking anyone to sympathize with me about this but her passing made me really think. Do we as humans really think about how we spend our time like we should? I mean frankly we could croak any minute and never have  that chance to say what had always been ' not said but assumed as implied'. I mean does your mom or dad really know how much you appreciate what they do for you? How about your friend who always helps bail you out when you wind up in a sticky situation, do they know that your not just using em as a get out of jail card? I for one do not wanna leave anything I can help to chance, so I'm going to do my best to say thank you more, tell people I appreciate them, and give my family hugs more often. Sure it's sappy, but hell I'm a girl. What did you really expect? =)

In happier less karma related news NIS America has announced that they are in fact going to be bringing Black Rock Shooter the game to America. I know this fact will make some BRS fans rejoice and others look at their wallet and cry over the fact they just spent a ton of money importing the Japanese version. I personally am excited about the game being put into english. My japanese is sketchy at best so it would be nice to have the american version...especially to help me understand the plot. I mean sure I can read enough to get by (and what I can't read I'm rather good at guessing) but any humor or slang expressions will most likely be lost on me. I want to have the full experience...but then again that may just be my excuse to buy the same game twice XD .

Techno Flavored Soda: First Can

Oh the things we do for quest points and virtual exp....Yep that's mostly the entire reason why I'm even starting a blog. Hurray for being slightly shameless!

Any who not much as been going on other than rain, thunder, and cleaning. I live in southern GA and due to the activity in the tropics going on right now we have been having a rather steady steam of rain and or thunder. I have nothing against rain in general I just don't enjoy the lighting and possible tornadoes that come along with some of these storm systems.

I'm waiting on August 25th to hurry up and get here so my Black Rock Shooter Premium White Box will be in the mail. I can't wait to play that game! I'm a huge fan of Black Rock Shooter and basically anything related to vocaloid. Yes, I'm shameless like that. If it's got anything to do with vocaloid I tend to want it. Also tomorrow the pre orders for the Cheerful Japan! Miku Hatsune Figma figurines open up on the international part of the GoodSmile companies website. Or so it's suppose to. I'm going to be ticked if they decide to not .
