wow this is a bit hit.. Truly a sad moment in time. its amazing how many people he has touched as you can see in these comments alone. You will be missed! Thanks for all the good times
@celticstorm: I guess we're pretty much boned if that's the case. Seems odd that it would only affect one site though.
gay!!!!!! so sucks, i have to sneakly dl all the premium stuff at work cos its fine, then watch it at home.
its not just affected this site though, it seems to be a bunch of sites that use amazons s3 stuff. (saw on whirlpool forums other users having similar problems)
@narikki: Same here. Was wondering if it's an off-peak thing or not.
Nah dont think so. it seems to be pretty inconsistant.. its gone up to around 30kb/s average now during anytime of the day..

Thats why I'm glad they host stuff on Youtube. that loads.
Their stuff on the regular player? Wayo to slow. The 10 minute video about Vinny and his kid is looking to take an hour to fully load.
their regular player use to be perfectly fine, but now its slow for some of us aussies (due to slow connection to amazons hosting services). not sure whats happening on your end though.
So I spoke with iiNet support and they seem to think that it is a routing problem with Telstra. Which basically means until Telstra decides to fix it we're fucked.
I F*N KNEW IT! haha
telstra is a pos. thats what i had come to conclusion a while back.
hope it gets fixed soon.. my premium content in unwatchable! (unless i wait 14hours to dl it manually.)
This is seriously infuriating. It's taking upwards of 10 minutes to buffer every 5 seconds of video now... on Low.
Surely it can't be Telstra, right? People outside Australia are being affected too.
No confirmation on the cause/a fix?

I am also Australian and my ISP is also Telstra Bigpond. Download speeds are still very slow (10 kB/s) for both the video content and bombcast. Youtube links run nice and fast, but anything from the site is slow. Definitely seeing a pattern with Telstra customers, but there are also some from other countries, so it's hard to say.
I think it has something to do with telstra! something with their routing? my work connection which is with optus (and is withing 10 km of my home) can download it perfectly fine at normal speeds (just under 1mb/s dl speed). the only ppl that ive seen have problems in this thread are iinet and telstra users, iinet uses telstra lines in most cases.
only thing is im no network guru, and only worked with mostly internal networking as such i dont have the knowlege of what goes on telstra side to say if its them or something. but i think definately has something to do with telstra!
god damnit telstra! im 99% sure its got to do with them! everyone that has this problem seems to either be with telstra or a company that is a reseller for telstra
hmm, maybe your on a telstra line as well (since iinet uses some of telstra lines). I have tested and seen that on an optus line it works brilliantly but on a telstra line its running at 10kb/s max..
