There's a lot of unusual decisions Blizzard's done to their version. No last hitting? Siege heroes able to outrange towers? Neutral creeps that will push for you if you defeat them?
Will have to play it to really see. This seems much more simplified than even League of Legends.

Might have to get back into Starcraft with HotS. It seems like they're changing enough that everyone will have to relearn somethings, obviously new players more than others.
Just started playing League of Legends last week, my first DotA style game. Loving it so far and really interested to see what Valve has to offer.
how are you finding the general community, I've always been interested in these games but my understanding is that they arent very understanding of new players.
There's always people talking trash in game, but it still works because matchmaking makes it so that you usually get matched with people your skill level. I say usually because there are instances where a guy with 500+ games parties with a guy with 6, then proceeds to carry the entire team.
If you want to get into DotA-style games, I'd recommend League of Legends. It has the largest player base and matchmaking, and the community isn't has hardcore as original DotA or Heroes of Newerth.
I would not mind more iOS game features. I play "these" games. I don't like all of them, but I sink enough time playing these that I would like to see more of these kinds of features.
