I thought it was interesting what Jeff and Brad said about this generation's games not having the same "leap" that previous generations have had, especially in comparison to PC games. I thought I would take a look and see just now they stack up. PC screenshots will be on the left.

Thoughts?

For launch I'm going disc because I don't trust Sony to have a stable online infrastructure on launch day. After that I'll probably go digital only.

The GB crew for some reason seems to relate The Last of Us to Ryan's death so I honestly don't think it will get strong consideration. I don't think Jeff or Brad have played very much of it either, which is a shame since it's such a great game.

That is my main question I guess. I know you could in the PS3 but it was virtually useless since it was no faster than a standard HDD.

Does anyone know if you will be able to replace the hard drive with a SSD?

The biggest problem for me is that videos just randomly stop playing. Pausing the video seems to increase the chances of it stopping, which is kinda important since most videos are near an hour long. I usually use the HTML5 player but this happens on the streaming player as well. Not sure about progressive since I don't use it due to the slow download speeds of video that way.

Honestly I don't think Joel was selfish. I think the Fireflies were selfish. Joel couldn't have been unconscious for more than a few hours and the Fireflies were already prepping to kill her to get at the spores or whatever in her head. They were so dead set on finding a cure that they immediately decided to take the simplest option of just hacking her head open and taking them with no care of what happens to her. They could have easily spent at least a few weeks running tests to see if they could get at the spores some other way.
