Real games ? Sure Things i would ever play ? Nope They are controlled over a interface i hate for games, oversimplified and bitesized. Might be different if my phone didn't play audio, display kindle books or had a webbrowser and i had longer commute. On the other hand ... Then i would just get a vita/ds.

Vice city was the last one i enjoyed and the one i enjoyed most (tied with london). could just not get in the san andreas setting and 4 was just a steaming pile of garbage ... how were you supposed to enjoy a game with bad driving, shoting and performance.

I don't see the big deal in recommending the pc version of games that have good pc versions and flawed console versions and even suggesting to avoid the console versions if you can.

If you break it down the pc versions are usually 10-30 bucks cheaper and any 2-3 year old middleclass pc will play them better than the console version. there is also the fact that pc versions of games have dramatically improved over the lackluster pc ports that came out a few years ago while most new blockbuster games seem to stress the consoles a bit to much to deliver at least smooth framerate. Add the fact that a cheap ssd improves loadtimes that much and i just turn on my consoles for exclusives.

This is also no "omg mouse and keyboard is so superior" thing since part of good pc ports is controller support for all recent games (mass effect 3 aside) which just makes you able to have the same leanback experience

Again he is not saying if you have a console don't play farcry, he is saying if you have any pc able to run farcry at 720p medium, get the pc version and hook up a gamepad is you want or if you played console games for the fact that they simple are put in and run ok ... reconsider.

played d2 for years and have occasionally revisited it on lans and have not been that excited for d3 since i'm not fond of the new skill/character point system or a big fan of the artstyle. but to be honest everybody hated the wc3 artstyle and hero units and wc3 and dota succeeded starcraft/d2 as the non shooter lan games for most people i know.

the beta also left me cold due to expected limitations but to be honest ... the d2 beta was even worse (1 char only, even fewer areas and only lvl 1 skills) and d2 was great and i guess once its out and you fire up coop and start searching for the best gear it will be a blast.

thats a lot time spent collecting stuff, could not see myself going back get all missing stuff and spells. when i go back i will either finish ng+ or start over with all my knowledge and build char with good distributed stats for coop.

played 10 minutes on the xbox to see how it looks/feels like on console, and it looks like shit compared to other console games ...

guess i will play a bit pc beta over the weekend, but considering that i was never a big battlefield guy and hate ironsight/2hitkill games i will most likely pass
