@gaffyh: He's in NY hanging with the GBEast crew for the month. I can't wait to see how they do his return to SF.

Honestly, I highly doubt that Dan is leaving GB or transferring to the east coast. If anything big like that happened, I'm sure he'd be really professional about it and mention it either UPF or the Bombcast without the theatrics that occurred earlier tonight/last night. Plus, given how much of a heel Dan can be, it wouldn't surprise me if this was some kind of joke/gag he played on everyone who watched it live.

Also, Dan and Jason (and Rorie) were in the chat for at least half an hour after UPF ended (I dunno when chat closed since I had to leave for work) when everyone was freaking out and watching the crew's Twitters for updates, so I'm sure they were watching it and probably laughing at everyone freaking out.

But, if Dan is really leaving or transferring, which I hope isn't the case, I wish him good trails. (Please don't leave, Dan...)

I just re-watched the big moment after watching it live a few hours ago, and that was still one of the best things I've seen from GB as of super recently. Great job not only to the winner, but to both Brad and Dan for being a great student/mentor team that has brought us some amazing and hilarious moments with this game that I really kinda want to buy because of you guys.

Also, for the people who are complaining that Brad and Dan are bad at this, keep in mind that Brad only plays the game for videos for the site, and Dan has barely touched the game since launch until this last weekend so he could practice up for this competition. So, it makes sense that between the lack of playing this and playing other games to review/talk about on the Bombcast and UPF, they might not be on top of their game when it comes to being hitmen.

Even though I've never watched an F1 race and still kinda don't get your guys' jokes about the racers and teams, I was sad until now that it seemed like Alt+F1 was on a break until Danny got back from his big vacation/wedding (congrats Danny if you can read this :D ) since it seems like nobody else could fill the temporary void even though Drew promised that there would be episodes until Danny's return.

Now, despite the fact that I'm not gonna listen to this until tomorrow night due to how I work, I'm happy to see a new episode within the depths of the Lang Zone. :)

First off, Happy 8th Birthday, Giant Bomb! Thanks to you guys (both past and present), I've discovered not only great video/computer games (including Stardew Valley, which I played a couple hours of earlier tonight), but have had a number of laughs in the past year or so between old clips/the now official 'Best of Giant Bomb' videos, as well as the more recent content after I got very interested in what you guys have to offer. Here's to another eight years and beyond. :)

I listened to Dan's appearance on the 10% Happier podcast today. Definitely worth listening to (as someone who has dabbled on and off with meditation the past few months, largely thanks to Dan)

That really was a great episode. I started getting into meditation myself after finding out that Ryckert (I'm using last names for hopefully obvious reasons) was a guest on 10% Happier after Harris got a ton of tweets about the Bombcast where they talked for a while about meditation and his book. I've only listened to a handful of 10% Happier episodes prior to Ryckert's, but it got me very interested in meditation to the point where I practice it for 5-10 minutes almost everyday, and I think it's helped my overall mood and social anxieties insome way.

I would definitely recommend that episode, as well as the podcast in general outside of the Dan Ryckert episode, for anyone who is interested in meditation.

At this point, everyone should know what they're getting into when they watch Brad playing Hitman. It is what it is. I find it super entertaining.

I think the series is great as well. I can understand some people who love the game getting frustrated at watching Brad and/or Dan's unique coaching. But, Brad mentioned a few times (I think mostly on the Bombcast) that the only times he plays the game are for these videos and UPF, so it's understandable that he might forget some game's mechanics and/or is generally rusty at it if it's been a while between missions.

I don't get all the hate for SF5

I don't think people really "hate" SFV since the game supposedly plays really well (I haven't played it, but it does look fun), but it seems like they're mostly disappointed and maybe even angry at Capcom's handling of the game and it's updates since launch.

Did a lot of people understand the Giant Bomb Drawful clues? I thought I consumed a lot of GB content, but I guess not!

Not really... I still consider myself "new" to GB despite the fact that I signed up years ago (I never really followed the site/podcasts until about a year ago), and it seemed like nobody in chat knew what the clues were referring to and some of those people (I assume, at least) have been following the site since the early Whiskey Media days. I'm betting most of the clues were one-off jokes that very few people remember.

Good luck on your new job, Austin! :D

Also, as hilarious as the second to last segment (the Adam/John/Lang Zone) was, Jeff's real talk to Johnny V about getting fired and moving on from the experience was legitimately one of the best things I've seen from GB.
