Watching Ryan instruct Vinny on turning on the plane makes me wish that 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes' was released a couple years earlier just to see them trying to do the same thing, but in a more chaotic situation.

I have a feeling that next week's episode will cause every human to simultaneously yell, "VINNY!"

I can't wait...

Man... Between the ending and the teaser with Drew and Scott Manley, Project B.E.A.S.T. is easily one of the best shows/series GB has ever produced (at least from what I've seen since I'm still relatively new to the site and haven't dwelled too much into the older stuff aside from a few old school UPFs and TNTs).

Overall, I'm not really surprised, except I thought Kerbal made it really really high on the list and I just don't see why, having watched the videos and having no interest in the game itself. But if it's that good, so be it. It HAS to be better than at least 8 of last year's 10 games, right?

Kerbal is actually a pretty great game, and is very rewarding if/when you can pull off stuff that seems crazy impossible at first (like getting a Kerbal to the moon and back in one piece). I agree that it's not a game for everyone, but I think it deserves recognition for doing something different and pretty educational since the game does a good job at mimicking real life rocketry/space stuff while being fun and rewarding as games should be.

As someone who has sunk a ton of hours into KSP (maybe not as many hours as some people, but probably more than most), I'm happy and beyond surprised that it got the 'Best Moment or Sequence' award for getting a stable orbit. Granted, the game doesn't have many (if any) scripted moments like the other games in the category do, but KSP does reward it's players with the satisfaction of getting rockets and/or satellites into orbit not only around Kerbin, but the other (harder to get to) planets and/or moons/suns. Plus, said satisfaction makes the player and/or players determined to expand on their knowledge of how space travel works to go outside Kerbin and it's moons.

I like shooters (I'm not a big fan, but I do enjoy playing them), but $50-60 seems WAY too steep for this package, especially since it's a digital release. I see some people saying it's worth it, and I'm sure it is to them if they're pretty hardcore SHMUP fans who love trying to get new high scores and/or 1cc these games. But, for someone like me who is more casual when it comes to these games, I'd rather wait for it to go on sale for something like $20.

I never got to play this growing up, but I do have it on Steam. I only played a few minutes of it a year or two ago, and felt kinda 'eh' about it since my first experience with the Dark Forces series was Jedi Knight (which is still an amazing game). I'll probably give it another shot since it does look pretty cool for a Doom-era FPS.

The entire Dark Forces/Jedi Knight package is on steam. Should be 75% off when on sale. It's worth it (Dark Forces 2 might need some work to get it going though)! Dark Forces 1 and 2 are 60% off on GoG right now. DarkXL works with the Steam version and adds mouse control, hardware graphics acceleration and more options.

LucasArts made some rad shooters back in the day with Dark Forces, Outlaws and Republic Commando!

People are probably better off getting Dark Forces 2 on GOG, since they put in the work and got it running out of the box on modern Windows systems while the Steam version is a real PITA.

I played through the Steam version of Jedi Knight a while back, and don't recall having any issues getting it running in Windows 7. I dunno how it is in Windows 10 since I haven't upgraded to it yet, though...

$20 says whichever YouTube person who uploads clips from the GB podcasts (sorry that I can't remember your name right now if you're reading this) uploads the entire discussion about Taco Bell during the e-mail section. Also, I'm with Dan in that I don't think I've ever successfully eaten a taco in my life.

When Fallout 4 came out, I decided to replay Fallout 2 since I wanted to give it another chance since I haven't played it in years and remembered that I didn't like it compared to the first one (which is one of my favorite RPGs). I've more or less given up on beating it since it dawned on me that the game is way less forgiving than it's predecessor in terms of combat, and the pacing of the game in general feels slower. I really wanted to give FO2 a fair shake since it seems like people who know and love the original games prefer 2 over 1, but I just can't get myself to feel the same way.
