i'm late to the party and haven't watched the final episode (or the rest of this episode actually) but i'm all for whichever way alex and vinny want to do ME3. if alex is a die hard "let my 'choices' stand no reloads" kind of player then march forward. but i'd love to see c'mon you know who back for their parts in ME3. if it bothers you and headcannoning things can help, just say shep shep got cerberus to lazuras project the one that got rocket faced somehow and gave them all her leftover platinum and stuff as payment or it sped up the process or whatever.

either way i'm on board for the next game but i don't think the hardcore tough guy realism of never reloading in a game with a black hole gun is more satisfying and entertaining than seeing alex's reactions to do they all die randomly like that? wouldn't it have been better if they had died as a result of not being up to the task the player assigned them? like they freak out under the pressure of leadership or can't computer hacks fast enough. i know it's a dumb video game thing but everyone has literally taken hundreds of rockets to the face so far and been totally fine's parts in ME3.

also, i know not everyone who enjoys permadeath and wants to see the playthrough continue as is is trying to be a hardcore tough person. i just think the series would be better served if alex wants to bring back it's spoiled all over the comments already and if you're reading this you almost certainly know already. i don't know why i'm bothering with this. and does.

@tastypotato: i agree with the caveat that if the proper policies weren’t in place within the company, perhaps a less severe course of action and more deliberation on the part of management would have been appropriate. however, i don’t like this notion of “just because it’s on the internet it’s ok to lash out” though. how many people in customer service every day want to lash out at customers but don’t? and how many do and are immediately fired? it just seems like the same common sense should apply: don’t antagonize customers. i think most of us have experienced or can at least understand the concept of people with minimal knowlegde of your job offering useless advice building frustration, but i think it’s generally understood that there are outlets for those frustrations and in most lines of work there are severe consequences for bashing your employer’s customers. for reference, i’m a teacher, so from time to time i’ll get feedback and suggestions from parents that isn’t useful or just outright wrong. if i were to lose it one day and publically ridicule a parent i would not have my position anymore after a day either.

that said, i also agree with GB that management not standing up for their their employees is a bad look. most companies it seems need to do a considerably better job at shielding their employees from angry internet mobs.

@ThatOneDudeNick i’m not sure about that, as i remember, the early seasons were mostly built around the shock value of seeing little cartoon kids say obscenities and seeing how gruesome kenny would die each episode, but they grew the show into a social commentary vehicle over time. it’s still wrapped in immature vulgarity, and neither being offended by it or thinking it’s funny is of course a valid response, but i think it might be a bit dismissive to say it never grew. as far as the catholic priests jokes go, the topic of sexual harassment is probably more revelant right now than ever.

@Gerff_Jestmann exactly, if cartman were rewarded for his behavior and presented as a “good guy”, it would cast all of those lines and scenarios in a completely different light

isn’t cartman usually framed as the villian, or at least as that terrible friend/coworker/family memeber that’s just in the group? and no one in the show likes him? and don’t things typically blow up in his face? almost as if all the hyperbolically terrible things he says and does aren’t meant to be seen as ok? i’m not caught up on the most recent two seasons, but...cartman purposefully gives another character aids at some point out of spite...i don’t think anything written for him is ever meant to be seen as something positive or to represent anything to aspire to. i would think having an already established character like that to punish for their horrible views would be more welcome in the current climate

if you enjoy playing dota 2 every day for years on end or the latest call of duty or assassin's creed each year, i don't see why it's so crazy that someone would enjoy a new mario and zelda every few years even if it doesn't dramatically change the face of gaming.
