Love to spend 30-45 minutes sprucing up a GB wiki page for an obscure game only for GB to play it and a host to say "so I looked this up on Wikipedia..."

Indeed, and I've exhausted my tolerance for Dan being and/or acting like an asshole. I don't know or care which it actually is, only that I've no desire to endure nor subsidize it.
I wonder how Dan would have felt if during Mario Party Jeff just got up and spiked the N64, he seems to think hes entertaining when he does it to other features.
Excellent analogy. The simple fact is that he's unprofessional. He has demonstrated this repeatedly during his tenure. And it's disappointing and frustrating to witness his willful disregard for the effort and production talents of those around him.
Normally I just enjoy the content (count my forum posts... I think this is only my 4th in as many years), so I'm not one to rage at personalities on the site. So consider: Dan scuttling this feature was so off-putting and dissatisfying that in over 4 years of quietly paying GB for content this is the first time I felt compelled to get in here and say, "um.. I'm not sure I want to continue paying for this kind of thing."
For now I'll just add myself to the list of people actively avoiding anything that has Dan in it. The tragedy is that the rest of GB East is excellent, so it's hugely disappointing that their good work has become collateral damage.
I just don't enjoy watching anyone kick over someone else's sand castles.
