As a note, there is a behind the scenes video from the early days of Mythbusters where Tori and one of the crew guys would start their days in set the same way. In their case, it wasn’t first thing out of bed, but it was first thing at the office/shop to get themselves going. Not recommending it at all or saying there’s a correlation between Dan and Tori, just an observation.
Star Wars Jedi Power Battles is the only PS1 disk I still own, fucking love that game despite its many, many flaws. I need to dig that out of storage now, thanks Mike.
This is really great! Can’t wait to see what other titles the rest of the duders bring to the table. I hope we get to Drew and Austin and others, I bet they have real interesting obscure stuff they want to shine a light on.
Vinny, I’m in my mid 30s and I remember handing my mother the controller so she could get me past a hard part of Super Mario Bros. She can’t play games now because anything that’s 3D makes her nauseous, but she beat Mario and Mario 3 with no warps.
@dvdwalker8: I would often write up the essay the night before on my computer, do all my editing in Microsoft Word, then write the required rough draft later, sometimes in other classes.
Abby, ever since your first appearance which was closed out with you doubling Vinny, you've made Giant Bomb a brighter place to be. You fit in immediately and gave us some great stuff along the way. There are still clips of Thirteen Deadly Sims I rewatch now and again for their hilarity and genius. Whatever you go on to do, you'll be great at it! Hope you come back and visit the Beastcast whenever you can, even if you're busy conquering worlds or playing Fortnite with Bjork by then.

@senorsucks2suck: I felt similar about the goals initially, and eventually went through with every skater to unlock their stat points anyway. It is a bummer, but trying the goals on speed run showed me just how rote they are for me after all these years. The only levels that were even sort of a challenge on the speed run modes were Downhill Jam (because it’s my least favorite level) and New York (just because it took me longer to get the pathing down pat). I can see why they didn’t include it for every skater, but I wish there was a way to re unlock them sans speed run mode. It’s a sticking point, but the challenge system helped me get over it. Chasing stat points for skater videos was enough for me in the end, initial reaction aside.
For those of you who thought Vinny's Grand Canyon and Golden Gate shenanigans didn't take flying seriously enough, Drew's "Learning to Fly" video is truly amazing to behold. I had no idea how much went into that process and how much was available to simulator enthusiasts. Certainly worth a watch.
