$349 for an OLED screen and better audio is a bit of a bummer for me, as I don't think this is enough to convince me to upgrade.

Edit: I guess the stand was redesigned, a LAN port was added to the dock, and you also get 64gb internal memory.

I've been a subscriber to GiantBomb for a good chunk of time, but like a good bunch of people on here I have also subscribed to Nextlander.

As someone who hasn't really ever used Twitch before I have to say it is sort of a bummer after being used to GiantBomb. I recently tried to watch Brad and Vinny play through Dark Alliance and ended up stopping less than half way through because of a constant barrage of ads (three at a time!) that would interrupt randomly during the viewing.

Not to say that I feel so entitled to no ads because of the sub I pay to them on Patreon, but it has made me appreciate the Giantbomb player a lot more!

On top of the ad issue, I would say I feel a little less connected to their stuff just because it is split between Patreon, Youtube, Twitch, and Discord. Having a central place for blogs, forums, videos, and etc really is a better option (at least for me).

Maybe I'm not as into other streaming stuff as a lot of other people, but this introduction to Twitch wasn't a great one.

@justin258: Yea this makes me think of playing Rock Band drums. Took me a good while to use my foot and my hands at the same time, but doing different things.

Yea I've been in a funk all week. Cried a couple times this week for a lot of reasons, mostly just as this moment really makes me reflect on change in my own life. I've really been trying to spend more time with my kids and wife and really appreciate the day, something about his moment where you always just thought these dudes would be around forever (although we all knew that was not true in the slightest) makes me really want to enjoy the now. I have never felt more embarrassed to cry over a bunch of dudes on a website about video games leaving for other things, but here we are. Much like everyone else in the thread I've grown up with these guys, and sitting around watching these videos from a chunk of time ago when both them and I were younger and different had me balling.

@ivdamke: Yea, I could see them doing this if the other game had been a success, but since it didn't work out...maybe realize that Borderlands was basically lightning in a bottle?

Yesterday I received this email from Gearbox:

So I guess they're abandoning the other shooter thing they made and seeing if this works? The mention of "metagame strategy" and CCG's had me already rolling my eyes; just give me Borderlands 3 already!

@dray2k: hmm that is interesting, I have never been to Seattle so I just assumed they were the same size or Seattle's was bigger! Also I would agree that Canada is well worth a trip alone. I live across the lake (Syracuse, NY) and take trips up to Montreal a lot and I really, really love that city.
