I really think this site alone will lead to the fall of gamespot. Most of my friends here are all gamespot members, and the only reason people are blogging on gamespot right now is to tell others about there gamespot user names.

Id just like to say Hi to all my old friends from gamespot. I really dont want to do a real blog right now because I want to explore the site.

We will have a great time on this site. And it can only grow and get better.

I agree. I don't think GameSpot will ever die, but I'm sure its community won't be very active from now on.

GameSpot might not die but the GameSpot I used to know and know and love is dead. Both the community and editors have moved on here.

Gamespot is where I first settled down when I became a real gamer. The Wii cuaght my eye and even though I got rid of mines in order to get a 360 I still respect it a lot. The first gamespot video I watched was the 5 hour marathon of them getting their hands on the Wii for the first time with the ice cream ect!
It is where I call home but once Jeff left and the rest began dropping like flies it has went downhill however a new era has began and they seem to be coping well. Wonder what Rich Gallup is up to these days though.
Anyway I'm loving this new site, will take a wee bit to get uesed to it but things are looking pretty good.

Gamespot has been dead to me ever since the mass exodus.  I am glad that i now have a new gaming site to call home =D

Yes I agree with all of you. Gamespot may not be dead to others...but it has been dead to me since the Jeff incident.

And hugh considering Rich he works for Curt Shilings (redsox pitcher) game devulment company. If you recal his love for the redsox it seems like the right job for him. He would be a great asset to this site though

Joking, but I haven't read a review on that site sinse February, I don't even know who the hell is writing there anymore, and the community is over here now. So I now have no prupose on Gamespot anymore, I get my new on various podcasts, reviews from Giantbomb, 1up, and Ign, and community interaction from this site. Nice to see your here. (Steven_Beynon)
