Everyone remembers the Digital Pictures catalog (Night Trap, Sewer Shark) and yet very few people remember the American Laser Games catalog (Mag Dog MacCree, Crime Patrol), and I think it ought to be the complete opposite. At least ALG were fully aware that their games were trash, and leaned into it.
People also always sleep on Taito. I'm not sure if Time Gal or Revenge of the Ninja/Ninja Hayate had arcade releases outside of Japan but it was cool experiencing them in awful grainy glory on the Sega CD.
I don't get why people are jumping on Jeff so much. Abby was equally negative in the Monster Hunter video she was in and like only person mentioned it in the comments.
@tshngo: My sister is 32, and has heard the word "pizza" her entire life, but to this day pronounces it as "peekza" despite countless people pointing it out and her trying to fix it only for it to pop up again eventually. Some people just pronounce stuff weird.
Yeah, or listen to any time Vinny says the word "onion." He says "ung-yun" and I've always found it pretty interesting.
Also anybody who recommends some other anime or talks about what they should watch next is straight up high since the chances of them even watching all 200 episodes or whatever of Kai and continuing the podcast the whole way through is minuscule.
