Persona 4 was my favorite game of all time and P4G adds enough meaningful content to make this game my favorite of 2012.

Yes, this game came out in 2011, but I never got a chance to play Dark Souls until early 2012. Not a good enough excuse? Ummm, the PC version came out this year and I played some of that...so yeah. Dark Souls not only is one of my favorite games of all time, but it is one of my favorite games of 2012. So it's on the list.

Sleeping Dogs is quickly becoming my favorite open world game. It provides a fun and deep combat system. The story is engaging. The environment looks fantastic. The characters are likable. I love Sleepy Dogs.

I completely forgot this game came out this year. I've played so much more Civ 5 because of it. Amazing expansion.

Bethesda this is how shooting and stealth-ing in an open world should feel. Far Cry 3 built an interesting world full of "things" to do. The strengths of the gameplay and the world make up for the disappointing story. Also good on Ubisoft for making a game where crafting is interesting. Before Far Cry, I was never much of the crafting-type in any game.

I don't care for fighting games, but I do care oh so much about Persona 4 and this is more Persona 4 crossed with Persona 3.

Despite leaving a really bad taste in my mouth, ME3 was a great game and the multiplayer was surprisingly fun.

The music isn't the only thing great about Hotline. The story is actually really interesting.

SSX does a brilliant job at reviving SSX. I wish it went more ridiculous than serious though.
