I pre-ordered the reach console only to find out, as I arrived to gamestop to pick it up, that the danish reach xbox is just a plain black xbox with only one controller and no custom sound effects. I then went home, gave my xbox to my little brother and bought a ps3. I will never again buy anything microsoft related. Fuck xbox and windows. I'll stick to linux and wii.
I've never been very keen on Halo, in fact the only thing Halo related I've ever liked was Red vs Blue, however the gameplay videos I've seen of the Reach multiplayer beta has left me rather intrigued. So I have two questions I wanna ask you forum.
The first is, should I buy Reach when it comes out, despite having no real understanding of the story so far? As I understand, this game takes place before Combat Evolved in which case it'll probably be a great place to start.
The second is: if being knowledgeable of the Halo universe is pivotal to gaming experience; what should I then read, or play up on?
