"Snipzor, I'd just like to inform you that government and politics are much more complex then you seem to understand. In my state, the democrats voted unanimously against balancing the budget. Crazy talk, right? Well, the motive really isn't having an unbalanced budget, it was using more money (which the state didn't have) to promote public prgrams. In this case, the republicans don't want to creat more jobs because it increases the size and power of public programs, requires governement money to pay these workers, and money to increase the size of these programs.
Snipzor, I'd just also like to let you know that for every case like that one in Ontario, there are plenty of instances of government failure, and more instances of failure in joint ventures between public and private groups. I'd also like to point out that the argument was a non sequitir. How does the government saving money by creating jobs relate to the failure of private companies?
"
Yay the government has failed, wait isnt there some private biz. on Wall ST, that are asking for a hand out?? Wait I think im right, private biz fail and then ask for government hand outs, so basically captalism is instead of helping all citzens just help the rich failures at the top!
"Looks like I have even higher taxes to look forward to in order to pay for 600,000 people worth of salaries, benefits, and retirements. The money has to come from somewhere."
No its economics, the government creates jobs, the people working buy from stores, the stores pay taxes, unless the money leaves the country it just recycles itself
And recently Spotify as well. Awesome new program that lets you stream music instantly from a huge database. It works surprisingly well and even though it's only in Beta stage there's a TON of music to choose from, believe me. Check it out: http://www.spotify.com/en/"
"iTunes. It makes a little controller on the taskbar for quick pausing and changing songs, etc. Great if I want to pause a Bombcast I have playing in the background or something.
