It's Zee. Like someone said, it goes Gee, Pee, Vee, Zee. H and W's pronunciations are pretty strange but Zed is 10 times worse. Flat and lift are much better than apartment and elevator though. Pants are a better term than trousers for the same reason. Metrics make more sense than the American system but driving on the right side of the road makes more sense than driving on the left and I have to imagine that the latter causes more deaths. All those words don't need those extra U's. Using the term legos while not technically proper, makes sentences simpler and avoids potential ambiguity. Also, British chips and crisps would make more sense if the two were switched and both make less sense than the American terms. I not sure why I felt the need to point all this out but there it is.

I'm going to trust you on this one but all I got out of the video is "GameSpot is giving us a bunch of money but they're not changing anything" This doesn't seem to be how to world generally works but if anyone can make it happen it's you guys.

@Branthog: I was surprised too but these karts seemed a lot better than what you'd find at a combination arcade/laser tag/go-kart place. I went to a Pole Position Raceway and according to their wikipedia page they have karts that can reach 45 mph (72 km/h).

I feel like if you're posting this here, you'll get the most use out of Japanese. I'm in Japanese 2 now any the only pieces of advice I have are to get James Heisig's Remembering the Kanji and take classes. I tried to learn casually on my own for over a year and got almost nothing out of it.

I went to an indoor kart racing place for the first time the other day and it seemed like all my Trackmania ability translated perfectly, minus the loops and jumps sadly. Now I'm thinking of going to a shooting range to see if any of those skills carries over. What skills have you guys unknowingly learned through games?

And on a side note I recommend you try kart racing if you have a nice place near you. Drifting feels amazing.

Hard to the Core from Dead Space 2 and Rockhound from Infamous are the only achievements that I've forced myself to do. Surprisingly Infamous is the only one that gave me nightmares. Probably the most mind numbing thing I've ever done.

Whenever I stop playing a game or reading after an extended session it always takes a little while for me realize I'm actively walking or doing whatever. Whenever it happens in public there's a slight second of panic while I make sure I didn't do anything offensive in the last minute or so.

I was just playing and an unranked guy named black0utx got votebanned because another player thought his -1 rank mean he was hacking. His friend was on and didn't know who to talk to to get it fixed so I'm just posting on his behalf. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly as this seems like a pretty lame first trackmania experience for him.

Why wouldn't you want to be able to take it off easily? The few time a year a wear a hoodie I end up regretting it take it on and off as I get tired of holding it.
