I really don't think Austin should get his hopes up about the tone of Watch Dogs 2. Ubisoft wants us to think to think DeadSec are super cool despite how corny they appear in their attempt to come across as edgy and badass.
I generally liked Burnout Paradise but the open world wasn't my thing when it came to the actual races. Countless times I'd make one wrong turn, get totally turned around/lost and then within five seconds of my mistake I had no hope of winning much less even placing in the race.
I much rather preferred the linear races of the previous games.
That said when I wasn't racing I loved driving around the city in the free roam mode launching my car off of ramp after ramp.
It's a bummer to hear how lackluster the story is in Mirror's Edge for a couple of reasons, 1) obviously I wanted Mirror's Edge 2 to be better game than the previous one and 2) it once again reconfirms that DICE cannot create a compelling single player story to save it's life.
It makes me think that should the next Star Wars Battlefront game get a single player campaign it's likely going to be highly mediocre and forgettable.
I've never really understood the "Stop talking about Game X" thing. Perhaps it's just me, but I find it fascinating listening to people discuss what they love and hate about minutia of games, even those I have zero interest in playing myself. Besides, you can always skip past it if you really can't bear it.
I don't get it either. It takes literally a few seconds to skip past those parts.
