As someone who did play some of the earlier SH games, I was completely caught by surprise by the jump in quality from Testament to Crimes and Punishments. Legitimately good game that changed the way I look at Frogwares. They're now one of those devs I'm always kind of pulling for; I still need to play that Sinking City game.

I hate it, but also yes this is very good.

Good read; thank you for this necessary work. Someone needed to suffer through these games so others don't. Glad to hear that Kirby game is still a decent time; that was one of those 64 games I never managed to get my hand on, apart from renting. Didn't know if my memory of it was just nostalgia or if there was actually something there.

If you're interested in a somewhat more recent good Kirby game, Triple Deluxe was a great time.

I think a story about the fall of Rapture could be really interesting, but like ya said: it would make more sense as a series; mini or otherwise.

I expect some poor effects/FX where plasmids are concerned, and some overt "Would you kindly" lines throughout.

It's still my favorite of the series, for whatever that's worth. After the weird tangent that Majora's Mask was and the boring, dead open world of Wind Waker, I thought Twilight Princess was a return to form. Still do.

I still think the weirdest thing about the Technomancer is how they try and give the piece of shit fascist lightning-man from the beginning of Mars: War Logs who owns a presumably underage sex slave (the one you take as your own) a backstory as a good guy.

Good ol' Sean Mancer. Remember Sean Mancer? Good dude, you know, except for his predilection for jailbait and slavery. We had some good times.

Grandia's/FF 13 is a toss up for me. Love em both dearly.

Some good games in there: Vanquish especially. That game is just so fucking good; glad you finally saw the light on that one.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. I really want to like those games; from my ~25 hours with Kingmaker, I was really enjoying the combat encounters, but the fatigue stuff and the maintenance of camping just sucked all the fun out of that game. I want to try WotR, but I'm worried I'm going to have the same exact experience.
