Simply put, this game is The Witcher, if the The Witcher was a Vampire story. Very impressive from a small indie developer who made a story adventure in Life is Strange. And yes, the writing and characters are just as strong.
This is more of an adventure game than any of the witchers ever was and theres alot of vampire stories in the witcher games.
No loading screens is a really cool thing. That may be the thing that impressed me most in GTA V, that you would just seemlessly move right in and out of cutscenes without even a fade to black. How Rockstar managed to do that on PS3/360 hardware is some kind of black magic. I don't know of any other open world games that do it.
@three0nefive: I think you are missing the point of racing here. You are not supposed to crash into other cars but you are supposed race alongside them to the finishline with the risk of crashing into each other.
They are just removing unecessary race ending accidents with the ghostcars and i think in the hardcore topraces they probably wont even do that.
Time trial on an empty track is another sport entierly where perfect lap times and racing lines are more important than trackposition relativly to other cars. You do a time trial for your qualifying to earn your starting position.
This game looks really good and if it where on PC i would surely try it.
Listening to this QL I'm gonna say this game isn't as hard as they're making it out to be. I'm not quite sure what Vinny and Rorie are missing but it's no more challenging than any other turn based RPG out there.
Hope it doesn't deter people away from the game.
Well it is pretty hard even as turnbased RPGs go and from a perspective of people not used to those games its brutal. You have to devote some serious time to even get moving right from the start in this game.
Even 40hours into the game i have to give every fight focus and proper planning which is the part where you go around buttonmashing stuff in "normal" games.
