Ryan said it would never happen... Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts TNT

I'm not sure when TNT started getting banners from the community, but it feels like it started around a year ago. I remember Ryan tweeting the banner for that week's TNT, it was Street Fighter IV. I asked if TNT's would be decided upon in the future based on the quality of banner submissions, and suggested that it was time that I go off and work on a Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts banner. Then something occurred that has never happened before, or would happen ever again... Ryan responded. He said that while they would always enjoy seeing the banners, he doubted that there would ever be a Nuts & Bolts TNT.


Well here we are, a year later, and look who just tweeted that this week's TNT as Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

I'm sure that other people have suggested it as well, but I feel like it's because of my constant efforts that we finally have this TNT. Of course since I'm involved, the situation is not without its irony. See, since then, I've moved up to the bay area from southern California, and I left my copy of Nuts & Bolts at my house. Well... at least I'll be able to tune in tomorrow and watch others have fun.

So here's my question to you. Now that faith has been restored that any TNT is possible, what games will you be pushing for to have on future TNTs that you previously thought never had a chance?

As usual, I'd like to see Bionic Commando.


In either case, I think watching Nuts & Bolts could be pretty fun. It's definetly on my list of games to pick up if I ever get a 360.

It would teach us all a very important lesson and really put things in perspective. You would no longer have someone saying an OK game like Dragon Age II sucks, because they would now truly understand what it means for a game to suck.

That's a fair point, as long as you're willing to accept that while the community will learn that lesson, they will become cold and calloused for the rest of their lives... at least the ones that aren't already.

Man, I should have this game by now, since you know, it's only 20 bones now. Anyway I'm glad to see this game is going to be on tnt. I would like to see any game that isn't an fps. That shit gets boring real fast.

@SlashseveN303: They started crowd-sourcing the promos last August, 3/4 of a year ago, so your time-line's a bit off, but I get where you're coming from.  I made a joke Civ V TNT promo four or five months before the actual Civ V TNT (they ultimately didn't use it).

I actually popped this game in after a successful friend invite to GBTNT and, yo man, shit's still awesome. I got into my bike stacked with like 6 small engines, 4 medium engines, and 2 large engines and collapsible wings and effed some S up. AWESOME.

@rudeboy217: For 20 dollars it should be a crime not to check this game out, especially in today's world of First Person Shooters. Don't get me wrong, I love my FPS, but I need a break after years and years and years... 

@B0nd07: Thanks for the correction, I'm always horrible with remembering how long ago something happened. I always either under or overestimate by a great amount. I guess part of it must be because of how long ago Nuts & Bolts came out.

@rjayb89: I made a drag racer that had all engines and all jets. That mother flew without wings. Also here's a drinking game for this TNT; one shot every time someone says "All engines".
