Warcraft Server Transfer Dilemma

So at present, I'm presented with a dilemma for my World of Warcraft character. Recently, some unfortunate happening occured that resulted in myself and a few of my "online friends (tm)" leaving our raiding guild for greener pastures. We have the oppertunity to join back in, but that results in us being in an environment that is hostile to us, even though we have the favor of the guild leader and officers. So, for my character, I have a few options open to me, but I've yet to choose a course of action.

First, I have a few ex-guildies from a previous guild on the server that I could join up with. They aren't into 25 man content, but they're getting there, abeit slowly. My "Online Friends(tm)" would not be joining me, as they don't have the same attachment to these folks as I do. With this option, I'd be getting geared rather slowly, but I'd be in a fairly stable guild.

Secondly, I can go re-reoll on a server with some other close friends. This would be the most inefficient course of action, but its also one of the least in terms of cost. I'd end up having to level another character, re-gear, re-do reputations, ect. But, I'd be with friends, and my other "Online Friends(tm)" would be joining me, as it would get them off of our current server.

Finally, I can transfer my level 80 rogue over to the re-roll server, and start raiding with them. They are a fairly new guild, but I'd be rid of the excess baggage on my current server, and with both my close friends and "Online Friends(tm)." This is gonna cost me the least in terms of time, but the most in terms of actual money.

I'm leaning with the third option, but I don't want to spend the money and leave friends behind, even if that means clearing myself of that server's bullshit. Yes, bullshit. Any comments on this would be very appreciated.
