Crappy ones. I'm buying an HD TV for myself soon.

Zelda II. I can't stand playing that game for more than twenty minutes because of its absurd difficulty.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is a must. I played that with my mom once. It was a strange experience because she doesn't have a nerdy bone in her body, but she got so curious that she decided to try it out. We laughed and had a good time.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is another fun, accessible game.

Super Mario Sunshine is another fun one. It gets difficult in some places, but I think your mom could have fun with that.

Tales of Symphonia could be fun to play with your mom. She can participate in battles, and when friends play in the battles with you, it's actually a lot of fun. Plus, it has a great story with an awesome cast of characters. It's a little pricey on the GameCube now, but it's totally worth it. You could also try Tales of the Abyss on the PS2, but I like Symphonia a bit more.

Twelve Tales: Conker 64. It looked fun. I liked Conker's Bad Fur Day a lot, but Twelve Tales also looked promising.

It depends. Some platformers I can play over and over again, such as some of the Sonic games as well as a few Mario titles. I find myself replaying RPGs a lot. I've beaten Persona 4 twice because it's an amazing experience that I love reliving. I've beaten Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door about five times each because their worlds suck me in so much. (Nostalgia might also play a big role.) I also like replaying games from the Tales series because I get so attached to the characters and the stories.

I wouldn't mind seeing more 3D platformers. I wish Rare would stop sucking at life and make another Conker game. Maybe a proper Banjo-Kazooie game while they're at it. That'd be good.

Probably Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It's not necessarily a great game, but it's one that I enjoy a lot. Could be nostalgia, but there's something that always draws me back to it.

Ape Escape doesn't get nearly enough love. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank: Ape Escape is better than all of these! Hell of a game those Ape Escapes. Whenever there are long stretches between The Last Guardian announcements I think to myself "maybe SCE scrapped it to work on a new Ape Escape," and am always disappointed when this is not the case despite thinking I'll like The Last Guardian quite a bit.

Ape Escape!

That's quite a bold claim--a claim so bold I actually want to try the series now.
