@geraltitude got you covered! If you don't want to be streamed though, feel free to make private lobby and invite your opponents. Being on stream certianly is not mandatory in any way. I usually send out @here's 15 or 30 minutes before the tournament goes live on discord. So if you're online then you should get a notification.

As far as i can remember there's not much to that area to begin with. You need to answer a quiz or something like that at the top of the tower in the background and it involves going around asking random people for the answers. And also a cutscene or two. Nothing to get too upset about.
