Best games of 2015

I used to make these lists every year, but it seems like I haven't made one since 2014. Probably due to me being lazy, and a little bit of losing interest in gaming media. Not listening as much to podcasts, reading the site, etc. I have begun listening to both the Beastcast and Bombcast again, maybe that's why I got a sudden urge to update my lists.

But I digress. Going through the release list from 2015, I have to say, that was a weak year. For me, at least. I never had any interest in MGS, and since I didn't (and still don't) have an Xbox One or a PS4, I couldn't play GTAV. One of the weakest years of the decade, I couldn't even come up with 10 games!

List items

  • Looking back at this game now, I have to say it was an awesome game. I didn't finish in 2015, but I picked it up later and played it all the way to the end, with all the DLC. Geralt is my man.

  • Not as good as Baldur's, Neverwinter and the like, but still an awesome experience from start to finish. Love the characters.

  • Faaaaallooooouuuuut. This series will always be in my heart, no matter what shit Bethesda puts it through. Not as good as 3 or New Vegas, but I still had fun for most of the game. I had to force myself to finish it, though, which rarely is a good sign.

  • To be completely honest with you, I don't remember much about this game. I played it coop with my buddy, and we had a blast! I remember something about not going out after dark because of crazed zombies.

  • I miss this series. My wallet doesn't, though. I remember making Excel-sheets for all the figurines, so I could plan how I could buy them all. Thank you, Disney, for canceling it, I would have been homeless now.

Fun game though, especially as a coop game with your kids.

  • If it says Super Mario on the box, I usually buy it. I never was into content creation, but I thought maybe the Mario-theme could inspire me. It did, for a couple of levels. Then my inspiration disappeared, and I didn't play much more of the game. 4 years later, I didn't even pick up the sequel.

  • Bought in on the 2014 Holiday Steam-sale, and it sure is addicting. Post-apocalyptic RPG Climate Wars is my greatest success, ranking up 11 million sales on PC ;)

  • Now, THIS... is awesome. It's the kind of game that you can't tear yourself from, you just need to do one last thing. Then another. Then another. It's been a long time since a game kept me up 'til sunrise.

2019 editors note: Guess this officially came out in 2018, but I played the early access version.
