It seems like it'd be a good idea to set up a new thread for the club since this one started out as kind of a news thread? I'll keep checking this one for new invites, but once I have the new thread set up, post on that one if you want to join.

I started the club, so welcome to the [BOMB] Giant Bomb Rocket Club (name pending)! I'm going to start inviting people, but in order to do that, first I have to add you to my Steam friends list, then we'll party up in game and I'll invite you to the club. It looks like I can do an immediate tag/club name change now (and color change whenever with no wait), so feel free to suggest something better than what I came up with! (Also, if the Giant Bomb Rocket Club name sticks, would [GBRC] be a better tag, or would you all want to keep [BOMB]?)

OK, so in order to create a club, we have to decide on a tag (shows before your username, 2-4 characters), name (3-32 characters), and colors (primary and secondary). The club tag and name can be changed once per week, so we could just create a temporary name and change it next week, or decide on a tag and name before the club is created. (Suggestions are welcome!) Right now, clubs are restricted to the platform they're created on until the RocketID cross-platform system is introduced later this year, so this will be a Steam club initially.

If no one else wants to be the owner, I'll do it and try to be proactive about inviting new people, although feel free to step up if you want to be the owner!

@onarum: Ultimate Box didn't have the Big Surf Island DLC, which added a nice chunk of more stuff to do to the game.

It's true! Add me to your friends list and let's tackle those freeburn challenges while also seeing what all that Big Surf Island fuss was about!

@kristov_romanov: Unfortunately, it looks like there won't be cross-platform play when it hits consoles. =(

I mean, Monza Oval alone should be reason enough to revive the GBRL, right? Have you seen this insanity?! Big, fast, unrestricted cars on a high-banked, narrow track with plenty of hills, oddly-angled walls, and hit-able signs to cause maximum chaos.

Also, I really miss racing with you guys! Money hadn't worked out to where I could renew my sub to iRacing for the past couple of years, but maybe that'll change soon. I'm also starting to get interested in racing again. (Blame PSeG for retweeting the video of us racing the Skippys at Charlotte in Season 1.) I'll be keeping an eye on the forums for sure!

Despite what you may have heard (or deduced from the lack of posts on this forum lately), the Space Neon Lobsters fleet is still alive and kicking! (Well, maybe not so much kicking as lightly nudging with one foot...) Active membership is quite low at the moment, but it doesn't have to stay that way. If you are playing STO and want to hang out with other fans of Giant Bomb, join our fleet today! We have mid-level fleet holdings that can provide you with some pretty cool goodies immediately, but our holdings can always use improvement, and that means contributions from Lobsters like you! Let's work together cooperatively to push our holdings to the limit and reap the rewards!

If you'd like to join, reply to this post with your STO @ handle, or contact me in game by sending a private message to @SamuraiGarrin. Hope to see you soon!
