I'm sick and tired of the bitching and defending of this change.
It's a reboot that is separate from the main series and will not replace it. At least that's what I have gathered from the devs as well as visual clues like DMC3 Dante in MVC3. I said this before, He doesn't look like a Twilight kid either. You ever seen the trailers?!, They are clean and groomed as fuck. New Dante looks Punk and Rebellious. I understand people annoyed at the fact that the ninja Theory Prez just dragged and dropped his picture onto it but for the context from what was seen i looks pretty in line with the tone.
And people yelling at us for liking Old Dante you can shut up too. Neither Dante looks emo. Old Dante was just very Japanese. I have seen plenty of asians with his hair style and have not once thought they looked emo. New Dante is very Punk, not current sure but he isn't the image of some guy listening to Linkin Park and slitting his wrists.
Ok so I watched the first three movies and am currently watching a Let's Play of the video game.
Now I thought the first movie was actually kind of cool with it's mystery and story and the goings on of these 2 people trapped together. However the series quickly devolved into a slide show of death scenes, which is alright but they have to weave in this stupid ass story into it. I hate the fact that the killer uses the "Well he just couldn't do it in time, he killed himself." THE FUCKER IS SETTING UP FUCKING TRIP WIRES WITH SHOTGUNS IN WAREHOUSES AND SHIT, KIDNAPPING, PUTTING PEOPLE INTO DANGEROUS SITUATIONS, AND IF IT AIN'T MURDER IT'S ASSISTED SUICIDE AT BEST!!!!! This guy is a fucking genius and he keeps claiming he doesn't kill people when he should know that shit won't hold up anywhere!
I watched the let's play of Saw to see some more death and puzzles but the story is just as stupid. I thought it wouldn't be to close to the story of the films but no, I was wrong. The wife of the detective that got killed, BY ONE OF THIS FUCKER'S TRAPS THAT HE SET UP TO KILL THESE PEOPLE. is arguing against Jigsaw. She says something along the lines of you killed him. Jigsaw then says he killed himself because he fell into the trap. She replies with "You set up the trap!" Jigsaw replies that Tapp could've disarmed the trap. DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE HAD HIS THROAT SLIT AND WAS STRUGGLING TO DO ANYTHING AT THE TIME LET ALONE FINDING THE TRAP AND TRYING TO WARN HIS PARTNER!!!! She is then automatically on Jigsaw's side. WHAT THE FUCK!!! SHE IS THE MOST GULLIBLE BITCH IN THE WORLD!!!!
Now what's even worse is the series seems to try to make Jigsaw out as this good hearted man who is just a bit rough to put it mildly. Aw I have cancer, Aw my unborn kid died now I will kill everyone I know and everyone that litters on the street. The writers seem to want to write these victims as terrible people with the tell but don't show tactic. "You want to see these scums of the Earth die right?!" No, you seem to just get drug addicts who stole out of their mom's purse. That's not good but it's not the worst thing in the world either. When you try to write characters we are supposed to hate it comes off as pathetic when you suck at it. It ends up being some bland ass character with a tag-line that says "Oh yeah, this guys supposed to be a murderer so he's bad ok? Ok." NO! SHOW HE'S A BAD PERSON IN HIS ACTIONS AND PERSONALITY WITHOUT BEING BORING AND BLAND! SUBLTY GUYS!
Jigsaw also comes off as an evil rip off of Batman. He has a plan for things even after he dies. Log into the Jigsaw computer and you got a bunch of traps and future victims and how the traps and events in the film are going to turn out. It works for Batman cause at least he's likable and has a lot of good stories around him and he's a comic book character. Your some fucker who acts like a bitch trying to justify your actions through faulty logic.
Ok So this is a blog I made/making based off of things that happened in the past few days that I have experienced.
1. Dante's new look.
Now a lot of people seem to be up in arms about this new Dante being totally different and betraying all that is the Dante we know and love. This is not true. Yeah he smokes and he is shown captured in an asylum in a damn trailer but this is supposed to be a reboot/offshoot as far as I know and something that comics have been able to pull off and pull off well, Ultimate Spider-Man and Superman: Red Son as examples, why can't video games. I doubt that Capcom will ditch the old character as we have seen with Sands of time making another sequel in 2010 even though they rebooted it in 08. it's also not a bad design if you separate it from the original character which these guys seem to be doing with the entire universe being separated as well. Most people are calling him emo or a vampire from Twilight which is way off considering the characters of Twilight are well groomed models with a lot of makeup on, Dante looks more punk than anything. The gameplay is the only thing to be worried about as they have not shown much if anything and the team that is handling it is very shaky in it's history.
2. Halo Reach
I'm sure this is kicked to death already and very few people care about this now but Jeff did a review. He talked highly of it and scored it well. Most people that read the text review complained that Jeff didn't have any formal complaints and should have rated it 5 stars and not 4. When he uses the "It's Halo" argument people freak out because he gave SSFIV 5 and MWII 5 which many complain has the same problem 10 fold. Guys, it's his opinion and if he wasn't ecstatic about Halo and super pumped why would he give it 5? He loved those 2 games more than the Halo series as a whole and has a more enjoyable time with them as well as staying power for him. It was his opinion and if he wasn't super hyped for it and still thinks it's great it speaks to the quality of the game. Only the people that never liked Halo won't like it but he didn't have to love it as much as everyone else. He does explain it better on the podcast and video review which I guess a lot of you have seen.
3. Twilight
I'm not gonna bash Twilight, I'm not gonna praise it either. I don't like Twilight, and never have but that doesn't mean I feel the need to insult people that do with slander. Twilight has a bunch of overtones about sexism and misogyny. However most of the Twilight audience are not like this at all. If you have a conversation about why someone likes Twilight they tend to hate some of the characters of the book. Talking to a lot of people that like Twilight all hate Bella for being that sexist view of a woman who only wants to be married and does nothing for anybody except have the need for a man in her life. Bella is the one that most embodies all of the sexism and misogyny and most of the books readers can't stand her. Hell most of the people I talked to said it was like softcore harlequins that they have access too and don't really want any of those men in their lives.
People who read Twilight aren't stupid either. I know straight A students as well as people leading good lives as adults who have read and liked it. I guess they got a head in their lives by derping their way into good paying jobs and smacking their pen on a test. I feel that most people who talk shit about the audience are generalizing and just guessing that this is what they act like, a bunch of 14 year olds who want want to just get married and do nothing or a bunch of female child predators when that is far from the truth. Sure those fans exist but that is far from how everyone acts like. People who think it is ruining a generation, every generation had something like this with bad morals. Remember Grease? The movie about how if you want someone to love you you have to change your entire personality to look cool and be accepted in your boyfriends posse. The people who watched that as a kid grew up and became functional adults. I used to absolutely hate Twilight when I was 14 but I grew up and saw the truth. Twilight is a fad and will disappear. It will not poison people, you are blowing this out of proportion. Continue to not see the bad movies or not buying the books. It isn't something to go out of your way to bitch and insult at.

So I tried to do origami for my anniversary coming up since I have no money.
I don't think they look to good but it is my second time trying it. I can't stand arts and crafts but I thought I should try it anyway. Should I spend my ime doing something else or keep trying since I have 3 weeks left?

I noticed that a lot of Giant Bomb users were complaining that games/movies/drinks were overrated as well as games being underrated either by reviews or the way the community or the world acts.
I'd like to say that because you think something is amazing or you think something is terrible it's true. When you say something is overrated it's because you don't like or get it. I'm not saying that if you don't like something 100% of the time you don't get it. Personal taste! I know. However when you preface your announcement on the overratedness on the subject by saying (Why does everyone like this bullshit cause I don't!!!) You lose your credibility with a statement like this. Just because you don't like/love something that doesn't mean there are millions or even hundreds of millions that don't.
The same goes for the underrated activists. When you find yourself defending poor controls/acting/story you have to notice why everyone doesn't like the game or know what you are saying. I'm not talking about games that is considered good by everyone who experienced it but just never got that popular. I'm talking about stuff that is popular but popular because of something really damaging or wrong with them that everyone sees but people ignore.
