@thisiseric: Yes, God forbid Jenn Frank can give 5$ a month to a friend and artist whose work she likes while Chris Watters can go present at an event organized by Blizzard while nobody raises an eyebrow.
@midjet: Only after ZQ and other feminists called them out for A) paying peanuts for participants and B) being transphobic. There are plenty of groups pushing for more woman in gaming, like Pixelles Montreal and DMG, but gaters never cared for them. They only aligned with TFYC because they were good allies of opportunity.
@brodehouse: Did you really just compare GG to the Stonewall riots ? AT WORST a couple of article called a portions of gamers assholes (which is true). Nobody is being beat up or refused a job because they are gamers. There are no laws preventing gamers from doing anything. GG is not even a pro-consumer group, it's just pro-mindless-consumption.
Some of those Gamergate assholes are saying that the "dominoes are falling". They don't even see them as people, but as parts of some silly game. They don't give a shit about ethics. All they want is to silence the voices they don't agree with through harassment. They are killing games criticism and THIS FUCKING KILLS ME!
@forkboy: It's also scary to think that right now, on this very website, there are people that share similar views to his in regards to woman. They come out every time there's an article about sexism in gaming. They are a part of the global toxic culture that nurtured this guy's ideas.
And "lost" my character. It was a girl and I had just bought her some nice clothes, got a sports car and had $5k in bank. I came back today and it was now a dude with glitched clothes, no car and no more money. :/
