I hope its the Bungie game but it will probably be GTA5. Maybe it will be some details of a next gen game but it seems early.

I like badminton. It was funny that during the same week on the Tested podcast Gary was going on about how much he loved badminton and enjoyed watching it.

I was one of the few who choose Doug over Carley and regretted it straight away. I kinda thought there was no way the zombie could kill her by just holding on to her leg but then another one came strolling in. However,by the second episode I really don't regret it and I think Doug is actually pretty funny and useful to the group. I have no idea what Carley is like in Ep 2 though. On the other hand with Carley and Larry dead no one in the group knows that I am a convicted murder, so that's a plus. I am getting use to just making shitty decisions and sticking with them because of how this game works. It's refreshing actually since most other games just let you load it back and try again. Its a great game and I can't wait for the next episode.

I never played a Final Fantasy game. I have also never played any game made by Blizzard. I have zero interest in any of the games they make, even Starcraft.

I always say it but Independence War 2 Edge of Chaos is a great and often overlooked space flight sim with some minor problems like some bugs and design issues. Its open world and has I think 5 different ships you can fly as you progress through the story. You can hijack cargo at L-points from cargo ships then sell the goods or use them to make new weapons or upgrades for your ship. It was released in 2001 but it still looks pretty good even today and if you going to go back as far as Freespace 2 for space sims then you should certainly check it out. Its on GOG.com for 6 dollars and it's great.

Most of the talk has been positive for Windows 8, from what I've read anyway. Even Tested seem to like it. The Metro thing could totally back fire and if it does and Metro is terrible all you will have is another average version of Windows and we can all wait for the next one. Newell just doesn't like closed systems which is what he thinks Windows will turn into because of the Windows Store, that is built into 8 like the App store is built into Mac OS. More realistically though Steam is going to start selling all kinds of software soon and Newell sees the Windows store as direct competition to Steam. The store so far can only sell Metro applications but that could easily change and then you have MS going to toe to toe with Valve.

I think he is totally wrong and your fooling yourself if you think that he cares about anything other than Steam. Its the same reason that after all the shit he talked about the PS3 he still went out and said it was great because they let him put Steam on it. Unless he backs Ubuntu in a huge way no one is going to flock to it from Windows because of a UI that can probably be disabled.

I remember seeing videos of Snoop Dogg being a character model and that's about it.

I sometimes play Halo 3 online. Still never got a 50 ranking (my highest was 45) and I am still missing 1 achievement (which pisses me off). It's really weird to think about where I was in my life in 2007/2008 compared to now. I spent a lot of time with that game and it feels so long ago.

About 20 euro maybe, not sure. Anyway only bought From Dust and The Walking Dead. I have to say The Walking Dead is the best game I have played this year so far. Excellently written and just good overall. I can't wait for the next episodes.

The rest of the sale is fairly meh for me though. Nothing really catching my eye or any thing I really want to buy.

I'll agree with Jimbo and say someone else would have filled the gap. I just did some looking up and according to Wikipedia the first major third party games didn't appear on Steam until 2007 despite launching in 2003. Impulse by Stardock launched in 2008, Direct 2 Drive launched in 2004 and you have Green Man Gaming launching in 2010 plus GOG.com and Origin and probably loads more. Steams sales are great but 99% of the time I can get a game for cheaper in a store or through Amazon than buying it new on Steam. Green Man Gaming always has really small discounts as well to encourage you to buy even if it's just like a fiver off. Steam has some neat added features but I never use them.

Also there is a sale happening on Green Man Gaming.
