The 2K games are very much about putting on a good match if you have them set at higher difficulties and find the sweet spot on reversal settings. Also, New Japan is the best wrestling promotion on the planet primarily because they treat their product as a sport, so taking that approach isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Days Gone's fuckin' great. Easily my favorite game of last year, even with some of the worst framerate I've ever experienced.

Jan, man...here's a plan, and how I got past the werewolf form... run up the stairs and around until you reach the roof of the building below with the boss on your tail, drop down and head back for the stairs, if you lead him just right you can use the railing as a barrier and get some hits in before he walks around it.

@bisonhero: I'd actually rather watch Superman III minus its overly slapstick intro than either GB16 or Crystal Skull. That junkyard fight and evil Superman was good stuff, and Robert Vaughn's Ross Webster was a better Lex Luthor than Hackman's.

Hell, I'm actually looking forward to WW84 because it repotedly has a high-cheese 80's plot and Pedro Pascsl's Maxwell Lord seems cut from the same cloth as those Reeve era villains. It's all about execution and tone, some can nail it...others (Paul Feig) can't.

@bisonhero: Crystal Skull was pretty terrible though, the hoops of exposition the film goes through setting things up drags the film down, the switch to cg bugs and animals was distracting, as well as the unnecessary modern camera techniques tossed into the mix (see the ant attack). Then there's that stupid chase that doesn't make use of Mutt's bike which they shipped over, has psychic monkeys who somehow knew exactly who to attack, and was way too over the top with that sword fight. Say what you will about Temple of Doom, but the minecart chase was thankfully grounded for the most part, Skull in comparison felt like a video game. That along with Karen Allen acting as if she was just happy to be there than really sinking back into the role of Marion and the lousy double/triple agent subplot, it was easily the weakest installment of the franchise outside the tv movies...if they exist in your dojo. Oh, and Janusz Kaminski is a legitimately bad cinematographer. Wasn't GB16 awful, but super disappointing.

I mean shit, I can sit here and quote Ghostbusters 1&2 quotes all day and the only thing that comes to mind from GB16 is "THE POWER OF PATTY COMPELS YOU!"

GB16 was awful compared to the originals.

I have no problem with the all-women concept despite not being the biggest fan of all those cast (about fifteen years ago I wanted Conan O'Brien, Andy Ricter, Max Weinberg, and Pierre Bernard to star), but what we got felt like a soulless, Scooby-Doo looking cash grab of a production that lacked the wit, grit, and general tone of the originals.

Red Letter Media and The Critical Drinker did a great job of tearing it down, and comparing the opening scenes alone shows there was little care taken in capturing the feel of a movie that was damn near as important to some as Star Wars. Answer the Call was lacking in so many areas, it never even began to verge on creepy with it's neon cartoonish aesthetics and didn't bother giving us a new version of Rick Moranis' Louis Tully, who was so good...we should've got a Leisure Suit Larry-like spinoff with him instead of direct sequel. Ghostbusters without a Tully is like Star Wars without a Solo...another reason why the prequels felt off.

Speaking of feeling off, what the fuck was up with that dance sequence ending? That movie was so bad. The shitty Fallout Boy cover song was so bad. Trying to blame the fans on their failures....also, bad....and thinking them tossing away that continuity with Afterlife, when it did the same exact thing with the originals...despite originally trying to sell itself as somehow linked, is pretty silly. Especially if you complain about it on the tweeter without realizing it like Leslie Jones did. Also, Afterlife is no more of a Sony cash grab than Answer The Call which was originally conceived as being part of a new MCU-like franchise dubbed "Ghost Corps" or some shit.

Another thing, despite the first trailer, we don't know exactly what this new film is going to be and if it's going to veer hard into a Stranger Things-like vibe as most people are overlooking the similarities the teaser trailer has to that of The Force Awakens, which introduced us to its new characters, hinted at the villain, and ended with a closing shot of its iconic vehicle. The next one will likely...hopefully...give us a better idea of the tone they're going for while ending with a "Chewie, we're home." money shot from Dan and Bill.

Of course that doesn't mean the rest of the film won't follow The Force Awakens and be a rehashed version of the original. Hopefully though, outside of the Shandor and Demon Dog connections it doesn't dive too heavily into being a rehash. I'm willing to bet Coon and Rudd will end up being the Gatekeeper and Keymaster however.

I bought a Circle Pad Pro, and there are quite a few games that made use of the extra stick. RE, MGS2, S.T.E.A.M., both Zelda ports, both Luigi's Mansions, etc.

Brock, Kevin Owens, and Savage should've been ranked MUCH lower, Sami was solid, and Tamina should've been close to the tip top of the list. Also, they're using a 2018 scan of Kurt Angle for his '01 and '06 models, both look terrible because of it.

In my day we only referred to the 1977 film "Star Wars" as "Star Wars."

*adjusts nerd glasses*

But seriously, Alex...bro, for real, look up how poorly Iger and Kathleen Kennedy have mismanaged Star Wars since purchasing Lucasfilm in 2012...if you're able to find an outlet that doesn't figure the current culture war into the mix which has generated a fuckload of hyperbole on both sides along with the access media shilling and spinning.

Shit's been a god damned mess. Iger led Lucas to believe they'd use his outline for the sequels to secure the deal, nearly every project has had their director replaced, Solo's production was a fucking trainwreck, the sequel trilogy (which should've been a walk in the park creatively speaking) has had no cohesive storyline with questionable decisions made in The Last Jedi causing all sorts of problems including splitting the fanbase, backlash from certain castmembers, driving down toy sales, and the debacle that is Galaxy's Edge...both of them.

It's only a matter of time until someone writes a book regarding all the horseshit that's went on.

Oh, and check out the story about the actor that played Admiral Ackbar who got royally fucked by Johnson. It's completely understandable why the "Holdo Maneuver" wasn't the "Ackbar Maneuver", but god damn...

Hopefully when Kennedy finally leaves in 2021, Favreau will be given the ball and he along with Dave Filoni, Chow, Famuyiwa, and that Feige guy can get the property back on track.
