List of Shame

This is a list of games that I started at some point, and never got around to finishing. All of the games on here are good games, and probably worth playing, but I've just never gotten around to playing and finishing them.

It's hard to get to some of these games right now because I can't easily play PlayStation or Wii games right now.

List items

  • This is probably the biggest "list of shame" game that I have. I love the game, and I started playing online multiplayer - but I've never finished the campaign. I probably should, at some point.

  • I loved the original game. I love playing this game, but I got sidetracked by StarCraft 2. I should go back and finish this game. There's no reason not to. I enjoy it, I have fun playing, and it's challenging. It's just not StarCraft, though...

  • I started playing this game on the PlayStation 3. I really like the different mechanics, as well as the cello music. I got distracted by other games, though. I really need to get back to this one. I have 8 of the 12 pieces for World 4. I suspect I could finish it if I made a concerted effort.

  • I was waiting for this game to come out on PSN. When it finally did, I bought it right away. I didn't play it. I bought it again on Steam. The PC controls seem to be a lot better, so I think I have a better chance of picking this up again. I have it loaded on my computer, but I don't think I've played since the night I downloaded it.

  • I loved playing this game. Technically, I did finish the game. It's still on my list of shame because I still want to finish New Game+.

  • I started playing this again after Tony asked about it. I realized that I have a lot of "frustrating" games at the ready - multiplayer StarCraft II, X-Com, and Super Meat Boy. None of these are easy games to relax while playing.

However, after playing this a bit, I got hooked trying to rainbow all the levels. I'm currently on Medium level 6 (Regular difficulty).

Tony and I played some co-op, and it was a lot of fun. That's probably the #1 reason to get this game.

I'm stuck on that single-player level, though. I completed it, but I didn't rainbow it. It's getting frustrating trying it over and over again and not being able to complete it without losing a villager. I tried other levels a couple of times. Maybe I need to concentrate on beating one of the special levels to get a new tower or something. In the meantime, it's languishing on this list.

  • Defeated Orochimaru the first time. Probably close to finished. I should just polish this game off, especially since I bought the chibi DS version.

  • Great game, but don't have much time at home. I played until I had to kill someone in the story, then I lost interest being the bad-guy-turned-good-guy. I think I need to pick up the story missions to get hooked again.

  • It's been so long that I don't even remember where I was. I have a backwardly compatible PS3, so I don't really have an excuse not to play this game. I really enjoy them, and how visceral the gameplay is. It's a good way to blow off steam.

  • I have this for the PSP. I like the game. It's quick, fun, and has a quirky sense of humor. Every time I play this game, I enjoy it. I should finish this game. I probably need to keep my PSP charged so I can get through a level or two when time permits.

  • Another casual game that I have for the PSP. I liked this game, too. The story wasn't that compelling, but it seems like I'm really close to finishing it.

  • This is a classic. I re-bought it on PSN so I can play it on my PSPgo or my PS3. My girlfriend's daughter was named after Aeris, so it feels like I ought to finally finish this game.

  • I always have fun playing this game. I don't know why I don't play it more.

  • This came with one of the PS3s. Haven't played it.

  • Bought this as a gift for someone. Ended up giving something else. Haven't played this, either.

  • I liked the game, but I sort of stopped playing. Don't remember how far along I am.

  • Got this as a gift for someone. They wanted something else instead. Still have this unopened.

  • I love puzzle games like this, and I think I've solved over 150 puzzles. I bet I could finish this off if I kept my 3DS with me. I'm not in a rush to finish this one.

  • Got to the point where you play as Raiden. Lost interest. I probably should finish 2 and 3, since I hear that Metal Gear Solid 4 is so awesome.

  • I keep forgetting that I have this game.

  • Got this for the Wii. Didn't get far. Still looks fun.

  • Didn't get into the music on this game as much as Vice City.

  • This also came my Xbox 360. Never put it in. It's a shame, because it's supposed to be a great game.
