Guys, OF COURSE you're not going to like beer if your only impression of the drink is piss beer like Coors, Bud, or Miller. That's like trying Papa John's and then saying "nah, I don't really think this pizza stuff is for me."
Secondly, don't dismiss American beer for the same reason. The truth is that American craft brewing is unlike anything else in the world. The sheer variety of experimental brewing going on right now is unreal. You can get anything from a double chocolate stout brewed with coffee and oatmeal, to an oak aged imperial smoked porter, to a Belgian tripel brewed with peaches.
If you're in the US, try anything from Stone, Lagunitas, Full Sail, River Horse, Flying Dog, 21st Amendment, Great Divide, or Dogfish head. UK bombers should check out Brew Dog.
Try to take more of a comprehensive look at something before you form an opinion on it.
