My dad's spectrum was the first piece of technology I really got involved with.
I've been wanting to get one of my own, but I'm a little unsure about buying from eBay.
The good thing about it is you can use any generic tape deck with a headphone socket (or an iPod if so inclined) I want to try and actually complete Hacker. It's just not the same with an emulator.
I agree with what Jeff said on the podcast; I'm not interested in the kinds of games which require a second stick being on handhelds.
I'll probably jump aboard the 3DS train with an XL. I have pretty poor eyesight so the bigger screen will definitely be a bit more pleasant to use for me.
This article is pretty telling alongside GAMEs demise. Ordering online is just so easy, the landmass is small so delivery can be very fast (and very cheap). I'ce actually had an easier time getting refunds from amazon and the like than retail stores where I can walk in and complain in person. How backwards is that?
