@bladeofcreation: I like a good challenge tho! Usually in these types of games I make it a point to learn all the combos, chain abilities, search for side bosses etc.. Like I love mastering a weapon in monster hunter, or exploring every inch of bloodborne, or learning all the combos and timing dodges/counters in ninja gaiden. But in GoW I just felt the combat was--not always, but often enough--frustrating in a way that made me just want to finish the story and put it down (and i know there was so much more to see/fight). Too often, getting hit felt out of my control in combat.

Several of the DS3 complaints sound like complaints I had with God of War’s combat—but it seemed like everyone thought GoW’s combat was great. But the dodge in GoW was awful and some of the bosses just felt challenging in a cheesy way rather than a tactical way. Hopefully this comes up in the GOTY discussions. Side note: IM SURE MORE THAN 5 people got that FMA reference! :D

I don't have a problem with Jeff criticizing RDR2, but it is hard to swallow when contrasted with his seemingly blissful ignorance of all the issues with BLOPS4. Also, the "game feels old" is not objective criticism (I only bring this up because several comments have pointed out that his criticism was objective). How does it feel old? Because it feels like GTAV? In that vein, BLOPS4 feels old.
