The Japanese PS4 PSN store is no longer up and online, I would have edited my thread in the PS4 forum to say. Fun while it lasted.

Despite the incredible amount of Bethesda-like jank still in from the 2012 original I want this.

really curious about the playstation vr performance.

PSVR will be VR on a $400 2013 launched box, focusing on framerate, immersion and gameplay rather than graphics. That's as simple as it gets.

The required specifications for Rift makes me wonder if photorealistic VR is the goal. Got friends of the kind who'll invest and build computers for this.

Even if I had a PC that was "ready" for VR and the money to throw on this, I would have been waiting for PSVR at this stage of software.

Like I see that some people say, games. PSVR looks like an amazing time with Rigs: Mechanized Combat League already. Most excitement I'd have in PC gaming with OR would be flying simulation in War Thunder, but the PS4 version of that is getting PSVR support. Same for the racers, only one I care for is Gran Turismo.

(Different strokes like someone else said. Got the money? Got the demand for the best graphics? Rift and PC! Care more for you know, having money to spare, and the framerate and immersion deal? PSVR!)

Sup people going back listening to old GOTY podcasts. Debates are good, I approve of them, but this is about who can religiously ramble for an hour or two in defense of their choice until the others get sick and tired and want to select a winner just because it's getting late and they've had enough and no longer want to deal. Send this podcast to a psychiatrist along with presidential candidate debates.

Suggestion for Best Music nominee inspections for next year: Letting people play, or listen and watch the play, with a focus on the music beforehand, especially when it's games they haven't played. Headphones will help the experience. Music doesn't just work on its own, it's part of the game, what's on screen, what it does for the play.

In the day one 2010 goty podcast, Brad mentions technical limitations when the topic is about how it's hard to feel attachment to characters in Fallout New Vegas. In 2015, Brad talks tons about technical limitations defending FO4 when it's time to talk about the most disappointing game.

On this entire thing I call shenanigans, the emotional attachment to Bethesda products that overshines their technical faults, the great games press behaviour of forgiving everything Bethesda while massacring games from other developers when they have an equal or lesser amount of jank to them.

The next Bethesda game that will be released, be it ES or FO, will be just as janky, and this will continue, because neither Bethesda nor investors got the signal that they need to shape up their act.

Thumbs up to Jeff for voicing his opinion about the jank. My research on this continues, only a few people dare to call them out in media around the world, even in Japan where shits are rarely given about technical issues unless a game is an Arkham Knight PC kind of bomb.

Recommended: Listening to older GOTY podcasts 2008 and up, and looking at peoples top 10 lists and then the final top ten. The final top ten is made up out of whoever can voice their shit the best and convince others to drop things.

I want a super-cut of all the sketch-bits throughout the years of GOTY videos.

Phantom Pain online-offline-FOB stored stuff is still super weird and hard to understand when it comes to GMP. Mainly because it makes dick sense.

TPP gameplay on the field still feels absolutely great, I replay things, MGO3 needs serious help from Japan and more than a patch a month and whatever it releases for content and radical changes for the better need to be free. Still nothing pulling me back into it since a week after I first finished it in September.

(TPP has improved a lot with the patches and un-done the stuff that can screw you over if you drop offline, and with the December 17 patch they have started handing out serious rewards for single-player mission completion, reaching internal goals, the game is a lot better now. It is still 100% playable without showstoppers unpatched of course.)

Nevermind my earlier post, actually listening to the podcast they gave BB a respectable treatment for a group of gamers who feel really little for BB, but do feel a lot for the ultra-hype titles that the other sites don't go ultimate GOTY gaga about at the end of the year like Phantom Pain, the honeymoon quickly finished for other sites and I.
