E32011 Games That Excite Me Most

No particular order.

List items

  • The demo showed at the Ubisoft conference was great. Gotta love fast-paced side-scrollers!

  • Ahhhh, finally- the next Sly Cooper game is announced! I've been a Sly fan ever since the first, which was when I was much younger than I am now. Tragically, I missed the reveal trailer, but ah well. I'll watch it in due time.

EDIT: If I recall correctly, it was announced through the HD collection, but its real name was not given. Still, a trailer exists and we know (slightly) more about it than merely "It's Sly 4".

  • The first was a darn good game and the second was phenomenal. The leap in quality from one (as rather good as it was) to two was very substiantial. Looking forward to 3's great gameplay (surely to have more great set piece moments and perhaps a new trick or two) and story.

  • Still need to play one, but I've played enough of 1 (via the demo) and have seen enough of 2 to trust it'll be a quality product!

  • As sad as it is, I still need to beat the first Bioshock (yeah, the first one), yet I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The small snippets of gameplay and trailers I've seen of Infinite have whet my appetite for it- I just need to get through the first two before I delve into this one. I have some time.

  • Medieval Moves is the kind of motion game I like, as fun as the sports/non-sword ones can be. I don't have Move yet, but this game has added one more incentive for me to change that.

  • I love Insomniac Games. When I was playing through the Ratchet and Clank games so many years ago, it took me quite some time to realize that the fantastic dev company that crafted those fine games was the same one that made another favorite series of mine- Spyro the Dragon. Although I feel like the Resistance series is the great company's weakest series, it is by no means a weak series in and of itself. Quite the improvement was made from R1 (pretty good) to R2 (pretty darn good), and I trust Insomniac to make that much more improvement from 2 to 3 (and no, "pretty good/pretty darn good" is not the main way I review games).

  • Aw yeah, I -love- the AC series. Skipped out on its part of the Ubisoft conference though (I know, I'm nuts) because I haven't even started Brotherhood, but it's an AC game.

  • Man, how about that trailer? I dug it. Hopefully 3 will be an improvement on 2 (not that two was bad or anything, just not great), but from the brief look we got of it, I'd say it looks like it's in the right direction.

  • Never played EVE. Apparently it's kind of big. This game looks cool. Not much else to say about this one except: neat!

  • So this is one of the unexplored areas of WWII shooters...Alright, I'll bite. Looks interesting. The Tarantino comments have been made and I certainly wouldn't doubt (at all) if the guys who pitched this game saw his film.

  • From the makers of Flower? Cool. What little extra I saw of this title from the trailers only adds to my intrigue.

  • Okay, so I still need to play 1 and 2. I know, I'm the worst kind of gamer...But my excitement for playing through this series has mounted significantly over the past year or so. There was one point in time when I couldn't care less if I played these games (I know, I know, I am not proud to admit this) but that has changed entirely, thank God.

  • It's the next core Battlefield title. Need I say more? Played the crap out of BC 2's beta and demo alone (not to mention how much I have played of it since I bought it) and played a bit of 2 at friends' places and stuff. Will it dethrone Call of Duty? I don't really care, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

  • Class-based TF2-like type of deal by Insomniac that's on the PS3 (TF2 may as well not be)? Cool. I trust it'll have its own unique take on this type of multiplayer shooter. Color me intrigued.
