@rhazo: 2 out of 5 stars only translates to 40% numerically. It's easier to read into it as 'any merits the game may have are outweighed by the flaws'...Which in the case of this review I disagree with, but he isn't slamming it super hard as garbage. That'd be a 1 out of 5.
Either way, after having played some Star Fox Zero I do think this review was harsh. Opinions and all that, I'm all for standing your ground on that, and Dan isn't without merit in his complaints...but the arcade experience still holds value for me, and my time with Star Fox Zero is far from over, even after clearing it twice. Is this an experience for everyone in 2016 for $60 though? Hell no. If this ain't your cup of tea from the outset then avoid it. Controls are weird and it's the same story a third time over. But I love it.
@revenantxenos: I'm still a huge fan of arcade style rail shooters though. Hell, the only Dead Space game I have any regard for is Extraction. Comes down to preference I suppose, the issues with Star Fox Zero though seem to be in the controls honestly.
@error52: Nice to see some Sin & Punishment 2 love, that game is great.
As for the game itself...eh, i'll wait and see myself, I love Star Fox 64 to this day too much to not try it. I'm more scared for the controls than I am for the length.
