You are pretty pathetic.

I write this blog because I see people everywhere who buy and play games such as "Cars", "Shrek", "Bionicle Heroes", and all these other low-rate games for kids with easy achievements for basically turning the game on. People who think high gamer scores make you a great gamer, you're quite wrong. I respect the ones with high gamerscores with actual worthwhile, respectable games, but the others can pretty much stick those games somewhere that isn't pleasant.

And how do you feel about the people with high gamerscores because they had everyone and their brother get points for them?

As long as it's not from games like Shrek, Legos, Open Season, Bionicle, and other games as such, i'm perfectly fine. :P

So you're fine with people that have high gamerscores because they had other people get achievements for them? I don't see the point of having a gamerscore if you let someone else get the points for you. I don't let anyone play for me and boost my score, but I've done it for my brother before.

I don't look at the gamerscore at all myself. I look to see what they have played and how many points they have for the game I'm interested in (or they claim to know all about - forum debates you know). If they have a lot and I ask a few questions about it and they know what they are talking about then I begin to trust what they say is legit. However if they don't I don't bother with said person ever again. And if they barely have any points at all they better classify their comments as being 'from what little I have played...'

And just because they have them on their card doesn't necessarily mean they played them. Right now I have my X360 to autologin myself... I did this because I use it 95% of the time and I don't want to be bothered. However if someone else uses the box and doesn't realize they are logged in as me and I get the points, no biggie, but you won't see me talking about it on the boards or in blogs.

As KenshinGirl pointed out, people share accounts (me on accident) on purspose to get high GS... that is much worse IMO than playing just about anything because then you can't tell if what they are saying about the game is true until you yourself try it out.

Anyone that uses gamerscores as a VALUE to be a 'Mines bigger than yours' comparision is missing the real use for them.

Raahsnavj - I see it the same way you do, and I know if you auto-log and all that people will play on yours and I'm fine with that. This blog is mainly from one person I've seen that buys (not rents) all these games to complete with people for higher gamerscores. I'm totally with you 100% though.

Angel - Yeah I understand I have people playing on mine as well, I'm sure a friend got me an acheivement or two. Like I said to Raahsnavj, this one in perticular is who got me started on the blog.

You know someone that buys garbage games in order to boost his score? My older brother loves to boost his score, but he won't play any game that doesn't interest him. Someone gave him Cars and he just passed it on to me for me to sell for him even though he could have easily used it to increase his score. How do you feel about Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games?

Those games are fun, so I see no problem with them, I most rant about kid-like games like the disney and low-rate games from movies or cartoon shows, targeted for kids to buy to play. If it's a game with a serious developer and all that, it's fine, in my view.

Yeah, I like my Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games, but a lot of people will say bad things about them since there's a lot of button mashing involved.

Player1 - I know, so annoying. It would be as bad if the people who did it competed for gamerscores, they do it soley tohave high gamerscores. I don't judge people based on gamerscores, if I see someone with say 20,000 I think "wow that's a good bit of points, wonder what games they played" then I'll check games, and sometimes I see good games, respectable games and gamers, then other times I see people with the disney based games and stuff. Even the guys blog he said "thanks to Cars for the easy achievements" he does it for the points, which lowers your rep as a gamer, I think.

Yea I agree. Its their gamerscore though, so they can do what they want. I'm just going to stay away from them though.
