Aw, damn you Steam.

I have a love-hate relationship with Steam. I love that they sell me games for super cheap. I love that I can download them whenever I want. But almost every single weekend they hit me with a deal I straight up CANNOT REFUSE. I can't keep up with all these games I'm buying. They've got me with:

  • Bioshock for $15
  • Max Payne 1 AND 2 for $11
  • World of Goo for $5
  • Lost Planet for $5
  • (I had to restrain myself last weekend when they had 2 Oddworld games up for $4.)

But this week they won't even let me get to the weekend before taking my money. In case you haven't been on Steam this week, you should know that this week is UBISOFT WEEK! Let me lay this down for you. They are offering a game for 50% off every day this week, and that leads up to some crazy deal this weekend.

The bad part for me is they don't tell you what the deals are later in the week. Which means if I buy a game today, I might just be on Steam tomorrow going "GODDAMNIT I NEED THAT GAME." Which, of course is a brilliant marketing strategy.

I unfortunately missed Assassin's Creed yesterday ($10 ridiculous right?), but today is Prince of Persia. For a measly $25 I can get this game. I'm debating whether I'm going to go for it. Though part of me knows I will because I want it and the deal is insane. Also, Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia were really the only games Ubisoft has up on Steam that I'm interested in. *sigh* I will probably end up posting another blog on Friday about the weekend Ubisoft deal.

Hmmm. So Yeah.

Steam is awesome. Use it.
