EA tried to go Full Disney by churning out Star Wars games but by the time any of them actually come out it feels like the franchise will be completely dried out with the way things are going at the moment.

Google to launch gaming service only to be abandoned 2 years later, like everything else they do

You've got it all wrong, they'll launch a gaming service and then after a year, another service will pretty much replace it, while the previous one still exists, then in another year they'll do the same, then 2 years later they will kill all of them off for another new service that nobody uses.

Classic Google.

It needs to run x86 and be almost immediately compatible with existing PS4 games, devs should only have to patch and scale the games down with publishers releasing a physical copy with the card/whatever.

And if it has retarded memory card pricing then it's not worth releasing.

I liked it but I'm not yet sold on LiS 2. I played this in 4k but no matter what I did, the image was still kinda blurry? It didn't have the sharpness that 4k usually brings to the table. Must be some locked post-processing doing it (tried AA off and turning down post-processing, still a soft image).

I haven't played Before the Storm yet but I just bought it in the Steam sale, so I'm looking forward to that.

@bladeofcreation: yeah, sure does

Dunno 'bout you, but my buying habits have changed a lot since then as a result. I buy a lot more on publisher weekends than the big season sales now and I also buy more through people like Humble than I did back when flash sales were king.

Since Steam changed to "every day has the same sales" I stopped caring as much, it was much more exciting when the deals felt limited.

I think it's a difficult proposition for a re-release to foster an online community.

It's already a product that caters to the die hard fan way more than new or casual players. And those that really want to continually play an old fighting game online have had the means to do so for a while.

This collection has a poor rap among the people most likely to keep playing online after a week. The netcode sucks, 3S OE had no problem maintaining an online community (GGPO netcode). They should have ported that into this collection instead of releasing the inferior arcade version with **** netcode.

Capcom can't catch a break with fighting games. SFV is doing fine in eSports (still think it's boring) but on the whole every fighting game product has underperformed big time for them since 2016.

Weird because they seem to be doing fine with Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and the new Devil May Cry.

@therealseaman: I’m pretty sure we’re just agreeing on color calibration being pretty important, no?

All good, either way...

Kinda, I mean I am saying that it's important if you do color accurate/sensitive work or viewing on the display, if not I think serious calibration is a bit pointless, but I'm not saying you should live with a weird green or yellow tint of course lol

Going to pick up Life Is Strange's prequel, I was tempted to get The Evil Within 2 but have heard some not so good things about the PC port.

Yeah, color-focused calibration is huge.

That's why I said if it looks good, it looks good. I never said you should live with a massive green tint or something. I'm saying worrying about calibration for slight increases in accuracy is pointless if you're not doing work that benefits from it.
