I played this at an arcade a couple of weeks again and really loved it. I tried a couple of other recent Stern/Jersey Jack releases and this one just kept pulling me back. Maybe it's all the theme song.
It would have been nice to hear about the adaptive triggers on this port since Capcom say that's a feature. I guess the fact that Jeff didn't bring it up tells us all we need to know.
@curryspiced: Yeah, that combined with there being no new trophies or mastery level unlocks makes these levels a lot less tempting to do over and over. Still really enjoyed the new content.
I still think if this game launched af $40 the tone around it would be entirely different
I enjoyed this game a lot more than Dan did (like *a lot* more) but opinions are opinions
I agree 100%. It definitely has issues, like the repetitive lairs and bad comedy, but I've had a lot of fun with it and its got a really unique/weird combination of mechanics.
First few seconds of campaign game play I have seen and it features the player character holding an obscene sub-machine gun. There goes my hope that at least the campaign would handle the setting accurately or with respect to history.
