It would be kinda nice for long time fans if Resi seriously impacted it's own narrative in 6. I mean besides the whole end of Wesker thing, all the main protagonists are alive and well. Chris is the right choice if we have to say bye to one of them, the dude has been in it from the start and his death would probably have the most impact. Kill Chris, make Leon president and then give us the Barry and Billy spin off game!

Ever since I bought my 360 I've had a consistent internet connection that has allowed me to install patches etc however tomorrow I will be moving into my university dormitory that has some ass backwards internet provider that makes it nigh on impossible to connect my 360 to the web.

My concern now is that for the next year at university will having an "offline" console prevent me from playing new releases e.g Darksiders 2 and Resident Evil 6. I voice the concern because a friend of mine claims to have been unable to play Rayman Origins on their offline console because the game popped up an update install that the console obviously could not download.

It may seem like a stupid question ( logic tells me that if a console is not connected to the internet it has no way of knowing a patch is available and thus will just run the on disc version of the game software) however some clarification from duders that may have experienced this problem first hand would put my mind at ease.

@SirOptimusPrime: It was that long ago? Wow, thanks for the info.

I think the comment on lyrics and morbid content is a fair one and people are far less shocked by Death metal in general nowadays because trying to be shocking is par for the course. Death Metal lyrics did improve my vocabularly though, when you look at stuff by bands like Whitechapel .

Almost anything by Cannibal Corpse. I'm pretty sure those guys still can't play anything from their first few albums in Germany and Australia outright hates them. It's awesome...

@ExplodeMode: I guess what I mean by lowering my expectations is to "take the game for what it is" but you make a good point.

I'm a long time fan of the Resident Evil series, have been for years and will be the first one to admit that I'm something of a fan boy ( I even enjoy the movies for their camp, crappy charm). Like many people my head almost exploded when the first trailer was shown for Resi 6 I was more hyped than a a four year old at Disneyland. As time has gone one however, and more and more of this game is being shown I keep having to tell myself "Just don't expect much from the game and it will probably be pretty good....... or at least not bad"

I'm wondering if the best way to approach the rapidly nearing release of Resi 6 is just to expect it to be mediocre and be pleasantly surprised if it's not? Sounds like stupid gamer logic I know but If I get burnt again like I was with Resi 5 ( I was HYPER HYPED for that game) I'll feel like crying into my S.T.A.R.S mug.

Hype or no hype? Excitement or no excitement? This Key is useless now will you discard it?
